FOR THE TIME BEING.
Some evenings remind you that art is never only about what hangs on the wall. It happens in the space between people — in conversations that wander, ideas exchanged across a table, unexpected encounters and shared laughter.
Last night, we gathered for an intimate artist talk and dinner with our dearest guests around FOR THE TIME BEING, featuring Joachim Bosse and Rulton Fyder, curated by Anika Meier. A room brought to life by curiosity, generosity and the particular energy that emerges when artists, collectors, friends and curious minds come together.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and shaped the evening with your presence. And special thanks to the exceptional V-ZUG München team - especially chef Roman - whose care and hospitality made the night feel effortless.
Art may begin with objects. But it comes alive through people.

"We are out of tokens" names a technical limit and a human condition. In machine systems, it signals a full context window, a boundary beyond which information can no longer be held in working memory. It is a condition we share. We are all out of tokens. Our attention is exhausted. Our capacity for absorbing change is maxed out. And yet the change continues.

POLIZEI live at Westtorhalle presented by PULPO GALLERY
Freitag, 8. Mai 2026 | 20:30h

Some lights don’t go out all at once—they fade, like memory itself.
With Ad Memoriam, Joachim Bosse revisits the afterimage of consumer culture: once radiant, now hollow. Brand names that once defined desire—Rolex, Nike, Marlboro—linger like ghosts, stripped of their promise, dissolving into monochrome recollection.
As Anika Meier writes, these works echo what remains when experience turns into memory—when the warmth, the noise, the glow of shared spaces quietly disappears. What was once spectacle becomes residue.
On view as part of After the Glow, Bosse’s first solo exhibition with PULPO GALLERY.

[…]the NEW will not change our lives.
At Pulpo Gallery, “Nach dem Leuchten (After the Glow)” by Joachim Bosse turns the language of retail into something slower, more ambivalent. SALE and NEW don’t shout here; they linger, hollowed out, their urgency intact but their promise quietly undone.
Bosse, drawing on his background in advertising, isolates these signals of desire and strips them of momentum.
What’s left is not critique at full volume, but a kind of visual echo — seductive, repetitive, and faintly exhausted.
As Anika Meier writes:
“In Bosse’s work, SALE glows like a billboard. And yet, the new will not change our lives.”

After the Glow / Nach dem Leuchten.
When a show title already gives you an atmosphere before you saw the actual exhibition, something special had been happen. And so it was last Saturday, when we opened Joachim Bosse’s first solo exhibition at PULPO GALLERY, curated by Anika Meier—and what an incredible evening it was.
A true highlight: the soft launch of OPEN DIKTAT. A huge thank you to the students and their teacher from Heinrich-Hertz-Schule Hamburg for traveling all the way to Murnau and bringing this work so powerfully to life—you made the evening truly special.
Merci.

11. April – 31. Mai 2026
Eröffnung: Samstag, 11. April 2026, 17–20 Uhr - the artist is present. PULPO GALLERY, Obermarkt 51, Murnau am Staffelsee, Germany
//
With ‚After the Glow‘, PULPO GALLERY presents an exhibition by conceptual artist Joachim Bosse that unfolds as a reflection on time, attention, and the economies of visibility that shape our present.
The exhibition, curated by writer brings together works series Ad Memoriam and For Sale!.
And then there is DIKTAT. A simple gesture: to write down the word. To interrupt the endless scroll through an act of transcription.
With OPEN DIKTAT, this gesture becomes collective. An invitation. A protocol that can be enacted by many, producing an archive of the algorithmic present.
For the opening, we are excited to welcome students and their teacher from Heinrich-Hertz-Schule Hamburg, who will perform the soft launch of OPEN DIKTAT. Earlier this year, they presented the work at Deichtorhallen Hamburg—now continuing it with us in Murnau.
Join us for the opening reception this Saturday, April 11, 5–8 PM. The artist will be present.
