We hope our friends and neighbors woke up this morning, pleasantly surprised at a cleaner Hillhurst Ave. 🙂
To be clear, that's 100lbs of trash that was on our street and now in the trash. 🗑🚮
Many thanks to our volunteers, and our inspirational leader @_linduh_ for bringing @ptimeoff to Los Feliz, to Transcendente Mezcal for supporting our volunteers with cocktails and bites afterward, and to our neighbors who showed their support yesterday! Now, let's all try to keep our street clean. 😉🤝
Not only was it INCREDIBLE to be the first event of @tales_of_the_cocktail Tales on Tour LA, but we hosted an event with impact & intention! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who showed up - for yourselves, for LA, and for making a difference!
Together we:
🚮 collected 400 lbs of trash!!!!!
♻️🥃 enjoyed a sustainable happy hour with low-waste cocktails, made with:
● 🪽Angel's Envy,
● 🍋 Lemon Super Juice/Oleo Saccharum/ Dehydrated peel from the oleo as garnish (💥USING THE ENTIRETY OF EACH LEMON 💥), and
● 🫗products nearing their sell-by date, donated from @collinsandcoupe
🗣chatted about @zerofoodprint 's Dirty Drinks initiative (and donated a $1 from each cocktail sold, benefiting California farmers)
✒️ got sustainable flash tattoos
🫶🏼 made new friends

1pm- sustainable cocktails from Angels Envy

Our first cleanup was such a success! These trash pickups remind me that community care IS hospitality and we can stretch that outside of our 4 walls. & how powerful it is when people show up for their neighborhood and each other. Excited for the next one on 12/14 🚮 ❣️
🌿 With the help of @mostimaginativebartender@bombaysapphireus@ptimeoff - we aim to break down barriers to green spaces, creating safe places for hospitality workers. the preservation of our bodies is so precious bc we were told we didnt matter for so long - the keeping of ourselves / sustaining the earth.
