Working with @greenmangosydney Vanita’s dad has been great!
Apart from helping him improve his confidence and strength for his walking and balance, he also was able to climb up 2 flights of stairs unassisted!
The activity we are doing is just a quick snippet on how to make rehab fun, engaging and challenging!
All the best Hoang!

Following a knee (or hip) replacement you'll be in lots of pain, feel sick and the last thing you want to do is move.
But the physio will come grab you first thing in the morning to get you out of bed and walk.
Despite the pain, it's really important to get you walking and start the rehab process ASAP.
Day 1 is always the hardest!

When might someone need a knee reconstruction or hip replacement? 🦵
This week, we’re talking about post-operative knee reconstructions and hip replacements but before we talk about recovery, it helps to understand why someone may be considered for surgery in the first place.
Not every knee or hip issue needs surgery. In fact, many people start with physiotherapy, strengthening, activity modification, education, and symptom management first.
Physios play an important role in helping people understand their movement, strength, symptoms, goals, and progress. A lot of the time that means guiding rehab. Sometimes it means recognising when further review may be appropriate.
The aim is never “surgery or nothing.”
The aim is helping you understand your options and choose the right pathway for your body, your goals, and your life.
If you’re dealing with ongoing knee instability or hip pain that’s limiting your day-to-day activities, a physio assessment can be a helpful place to start.
So good to have Zac from @vald_performance come in to upskill us and talk us through their updates!
VALD allows us to measure data and form more accurate treatment plans for our clients.
Chat to your physio about how we can use VALD to improve your performance!

Let’s take you through some of our ACL rehab procedures with Jocelyn!
ACL rehab can be a whole journey between client and physio (ACL patients can confirm!) so it’s important to understand why our physios test the things they do and when, and how that impacts and tracks your progress.
Give us a call, leave a comment or send us a DM to chat through your ACL rehab questions 💪🏻
