The first time Jamie stepped back into the batter’s box with the Ability Hand, it wasn’t about reclaiming the past. It was about discovering what was still possible. From the moment he lost his hand to the moment he returned to the field, this is a story about identity, resilience, and refusing to let go of the things that make you feel whole. With the support around him and technology that gave him a new way to interact with the game, Jamie found his swing again. And what happened next is something you will want to see. Keep watching to see the full story >> LINK in bio #BionicBaseball #AbilityHand #PSYONIC #MLB #SFGiants #AdaptiveAthlete #SportsTechnology

Human prosthetic users training robots 🦾👱🦾🤖 We can stream data generated from the Ability Hand by human prosthetic users straight into the @nvidiarobotics AI stack. We sync that data to video captured from @meta Ray-Ban glasses to label objects and can teach robots using an Ability Hand to do the same task: from a @universalrobots UR5e, to a @unitreerobotics AlienGo robot dog, to a Unitree G1 humanoid. By solving dexterity for large volumes of robots, we can subsidize the cost for human prosthetic users, making bionic limbs more accessible than ever. What we build for humans benefits robots. What we build for robots benefits humans 🦾 #AbilityHand #BionicsForAll #PhysicalAI #IsaacLab

The bionic revolution didn’t start in a lab.   It started a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.   May the 4th be with you 🌌 #StarWarsDay #maythe4thbewithyou

San Diego showed up 🦾 We screened the world’s first bionic home run, held a live Q&A with athlete @jamie.groshong , and gave everyone a chance to meet Able and see the Ability Hand and 3DOF wrist up close. Questions, curiosity, community. Exactly what we built this for. Full 50-minute Q&A on YouTube now. Link in bio. Want to join the next one? Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 24th 📆 #PSYONIC #AbilityHand #Bionics #Prosthetics #AbilityFund

Movement is medicine. And it’s a right, not a privilege 🦾 Dale and the @amputeecoalition showed up to the California Capitol for COPA/SEBCM Lobbying Day to help build the foundation for the So Every BODY Can Move Act here in California. 28 states by the 2028 LA Paralympics. Then federal reform. We’re proud to be part of that fight. #soeverybodycanmove #PSYONIC #abilityhand #llldam #28x28

Most prosthetic control today is still built on a 50-year-old idea. You contract a muscle. The hand opens or closes. That's it. What we're working on here is the next chapter. @dan_weiss73 , my graduate student at UCSD, built this 3DOF wrist for testing, and what we're really developing is the control framework that will eventually drive it. Surface EMG for now to build the data collection pipeline. But the architecture is designed from the start to accept implanted electrodes directly into nerves and muscles. That distinction matters more than it sounds. Skin-surface sensors pick up a blurry version of what your nervous system is actually saying. Implanted electrodes read directly from the source. Individual finger movements. Wrist rotation. Flexion. All of it, simultaneously, with the kind of resolution that makes truly intuitive control possible. We won a $2.6M military grant specifically to develop this. The science is moving. The hardware is moving. And the Ability Hand is already in the hands of users and robots who are ready for what comes next. The gap between "I thought about moving my hand" and "my hand moved” - that's what we're closing 🦾 If you want to see this in person, we're opening the doors to PSYONIC HQ this Saturday, April 25th from 1-3PM in San Diego. 1,000 AEON humanoids 🦾 Congratulations to @hexagon_ab and @schaefflergroup on this deployment. Watching the Ability Hand get put to work on the factory floor, dirty from doing real tasks, is exactly the future we’ve been building toward. The same hand built for people is now helping build the world. That’s the future. #PSYONIC #AbilityHand #HexagonRobotics #Schaeffler #AEON

Building a bionic hand is about advanced robotics, sure. But to make it life-changing? That’s about listening 🗣️ Right now, amazing users from our community are participating in a usability study focused on Low-Battery Alerts 🔋 We want to know exactly how our alerts hold up in the real world. Do you use an Ability Hand and want to participate? Tap the link in our bio to apply!
