Through the power of blending paint with focused intention, we will transform our canvases into our own individual portals with the guidance of our own intuition and desires. Through imagining the worlds we would like to create both in artistic metaphor and reality, our portals will reveal the path to the next phase of achieving that vision.
This workshop is perfect for any level of painting experience, even first-time painters. We will dive into light and shadows and glazing techniques.
All materials will be provided, though you’re welcome to bring your favorite brushes, paints, or tools to personalize your experience.

About the Artist Instructor:
Kelsey Huckaby is a visionary painter who works with themes of shadow work and soul evolution. Her imagery is often influenced by her own journeys both in the heart and her travels around the world, now based in Evergreen, CO. Kelsey is inspired by the natural world, particularly mountains, water, plants, animals and celestial bodies, as well as themes of spiritual exploration as experienced through shamanic practices, meditation, and channeling through creating art.

It’s so hard not to go crazy and just get one of everything hahaha seriously this is so fun getting to see my paintings on clothing 🥹🥰🙏🎨💪💫 my personal favorite it the lounge pants~ I want them in every painting now 😅😬🫣it’s also my first time ever ever having those made in any print!!!
I have just a handful of the first samples but I’ll be bringing them with me to gatherings like the Art Explosion Halloween tomorrow in Austin and Beyond Existence in a couple weeks! 🤠🤠🤠if you gotta have em tho please don’t wait til you see me in person tho, there’s other ways to make this happen!

Since taking the Painting with Light workshop with @amandasageart / @visiontrain this summer, I’ve been experimenting with working glazing into more of my paintings and learning more about the process through practice. “‘Bout to Pull Up” is my first piece since the workshop that I’ve completely entirely through this technique! The journey is wild and so much comes and goes and evolves along the way! I just let this one go, no plan from the start, and let it be what it wanted to be… which at one point was even a sloth (see if you can find him in the slides lol) but I flipped it around and made it a spaceship.
