wedding day💍the morning started with just the two of us on the balcony, reading our vows privately over breakfast. barely holding it together between bites, we were immediately grateful we had kept this moment to ourselves. it was the the quietest moment of the weekend, yet the one that meant the most.
the morning rain cleared just in time for Neal’s baraat, family and friends gathered outside welcoming him with music and dancing!
the ceremony was a true reflection of us, sacred and peaceful. rooted in love, carried by family, and grounded in respect - it was the most beautiful beginning together🕊️
wedding day🌸 I never saw myself in traditional red on wedding day. ivories and pinks always felt more me. the moment I saw this @sabyasachiofficial in their new campaign, I just knew!
for Neal, we had the privilege of meeting with @taruntahiliani in person! the intricate beaded sherwani paired with a deep silk shirt and cummerbund-esque belt was nothing like we’d seen - a cool modern take on a traditional look.
they paired together perfectly💕
our Sangeet🎇unfortunately the rain showed up and never really left. all the candles went out and the dance floor was squeegeed more times than we could count. we had to move indoors for the performances, but wow were they everything ❤️🔥
we brought everyone back outside for what became the most breathtaking moment of the entire weekend… 13 full minutes of fireworks over Madeira in a torrential downpour. the rain was so iconic, the cheers were deafening, and that view genuinely changed me.
we were already soaked, so the pool made perfect sense! the night ended exactly how a Sangeet should, dancing in the rain wishing for the night to never end!
our Sangeet 💃🏽 the details included a candlelit pool, street style indian bites with live cooking stations, garden florals with sun-washed linens, and a cliffside firework show that left everyone in tears.
my custom @anamikakhannaindia gave major mermaid vibes, while Neal wore a light floral @anitadongre jacket. the blue hues were a near perfect match to the ocean views!
our haldi🍯 a traditional pre-wedding ritual where turmeric paste is painted on the bride and groom to cleanse and bring blessings before marriage. pure joy on the decks of Reids and a little sunshine was all we needed!!
our welcome night🐟we were buzzing with excitement as we began to welcome everyone. there’s something to be said about seeing all your favorite people together in one place, I think it’s a feeling we’ll forever chase.
these outfits were some of our favorite all weekend, Neal in a bespoke suit, and myself in @delavaliofficial set with my little fishy @thevin.store
our welcome night 🍣 the night truly set the tone for the weekend. chef put together an Indo-Chinese fusion menu (Neal’s favorite) along with the freshest nigiri we’ve ever had. we drank the hotel out of tequila, never left the dance floor, and scream sang every lyric under the rain. a proper welcome to paradise!!
our intimate Mehndi 🌿 a non-traditional Madeiran inspired henna, my mom’s bridal saree reworked into a set, and a stain that set beautifully dark. you know what they say - the darker the henna, the deeper the love!❤️🔥
