Today marked a monumental milestone as we celebrated our inaugural harvest from our #GrowItForward community urban farm. With great pride we gathered an abundance of fresh produce destined to enrich Easter salads across the local tweed community: - 30 whole butter lettuces 🥬 - 30 bunches of rocket🌱 - 30 heads of cos lettuce🥬 - 30 bunches of mint🌱 - 30 bunches of 🌿 - 30 bunches of English spinach🥬 The collective value of this generous haul has a retail value of approximately $750, grown in only 3 weeks! Not only that, that nutrition value of this produce is triple that of anything you’ll find in any store. They were picked and bagged as the customers waited. This contribution not only nourishes bodies but also nurtures the spirit of togetherness and community. In addition to the bountiful harvest, the spirit of giving back was palpable as individuals contributed gold coin donations. These contributions will go towards acquiring essential equipment and a new truck for the @vibecarepantry Each donation, whether in produce or monetary support, plays a vital role in strengthening the fabric of our community and fostering a culture of shared abundance.
