⚽ This Friday, we’re joining our peers across the built environment for the second annual #BuiltWorldCup! After taking home the trophy last year, we’re excited to return to the game and continue supporting the reconstruction of Ukraine. This year, we are fundraising for @brave.to.rebuild , a charity dedicated to restoring Ukrainian towns. Our support will go directly toward fitting out a school shelter for children with disabilities. We're looking forward to a great afternoon of football and solidarity hosted by @ingmedia_ , @thedeveloperuk , @thecrowdcreative and @thegoodsyard_jq ! #BuiltWorldCup #BraveToRebuild #SocialValue #UkraineRecovery #BuiltEnvironment

Two years as a #BCorp has taught us one major lesson: the journey of continuous improvement never really ends. As we hit this milestone, we’re focusing our energy on the #Community impact area. At PRP, we believe that a place is only as resilient as the human connection it inspires. To deepen our work in this space, we are growing our Built Heritage advisory team—broadening our perspective on how identity and "Place Attachment" shape the world around us. In our latest blog, we explore why protecting the stories within walls is just as vital as the structure itself. The piece dives into: šŸ”¹ How the "3 P’s" create an emotional bond between people and place šŸ”¹ The vital difference between Tangible and Intangible heritage šŸ”¹ Why "listening well" is the most important tool By championing heritage, we ensure that as our places evolve, the people within them aren’t left behind. That is the impact we’re here to make. šŸ“£ Find the blog in our broadcast channel #builtenvironment #builtheritage #placemaking @bcorporation

šŸ›ļø Today is #WorldHeritageDay, and we’re taking a moment to reflect on the historic fabric that shapes our cities. At PRP, we are privileged to call one of London’s most iconic landmarks home. Swipe through to explore the history of Smithfield Market, from its Saxon origins to Sir Horace Jones’ Victorian masterpiece of iron and glass. Since moving here in 1998, PRP has occupied just 3% of the building’s 900-year history. Over our 26 years here, we’ve breathed new life into the building through sustainable refurbishment, using this historic backdrop to envision tens of thousands of homes and communities. šŸ™Œ Today, we celebrate the 100th PRP Bitesize session! Bitesize is our internal knowledge-sharing series where PRP people teach PRP people. Since its inception, we’ve unpicked BS 9991, looked at how to report social value impact, and tackled the complexities of Biodiversity Net Gain. The breadth of topics covered over the last 100 sessions reflects the diverse expertise within our studios. From the technical lessons learned at Coppermaker Square to the milestone of PRP’s first built Passivhaus, these sessions have allowed us to celebrate our successes and learn from our challenges. Congratulations to everyone who has presented, organised, and attended! Here’s to the next 100. #ContinuousLearning #ProfessionalDevelopment #KnowledgeSharing #PRPAcademy

As #BCorpMonth comes to an end, we reflect on 20 years of building a movement, always with an eye to the future. The new B Corp standards (V2.1) are here, challenging us to be even more specific and tangible about our social and environmental impact – and demonstrating continuous improvement is key. At PRP we embrace these enhanced standards because we believe they are truly worth standing for. Here's how we’ve put our commitment into action: šŸŒ Global Inspiration: We've doubled our annual remote working abroad allowance, empowering our team to reconnect with their roots or find fresh inspiration, fostering a truly culturally enriched design team. ā™»ļø Sustainable Operations: From studio refurbishments utilising repurposed materials and sustainable flooring, to our model makers moving away from acrylic to recyclable, non-toxic materials – we're actively reducing our environmental footprint. 🐾 Wellbeing in the Workplace: Integrating wellbeing dogs into our studio isn't just a perk! It actively fosters social connection, reduces workplace stress, and enhances overall employee morale. āœ… Audited Accountability: We're actively working on our recertification to the new B Lab standards V2.1. This more rigorous, transparent, and globally aligned framework includes third-party auditing by independent external auditors. We're ready for this enhanced level of accountability! We're proud to be part of building a more inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy. What tangible actions are you taking? #BCorp #CertifiedBCorp #Impact #Sustainability #ResponsibleBusiness @bcorpuk @bcorporation

šŸŒ Why is it important to have B Corps in the #builtenvironment ? Being a #BCorp isn't just a badge on our website; it’s a commitment to our people, our projects, and our planet. It changes how we design, how we hire, and how we hold ourselves accountable. We sat down with team members across PRP to ask them: "Why is it important to have B Corps in the built environment?" From attracting the next generation of talent to ensuring our designs leave a positive legacy on communities, here is what they had to say! #BCorpMonth

šŸŒ It takes a lot for a company to make a positive impact on the world. Countless actions. Constant effort. Real changes. And rigorous measurement. We understand this first-hand at PRP. While the work is complex, our commitment to continuous improvement is straightforward. One simple symbol says it all: the B. As a Certified B Corpā„¢, we’re excited to join forces with the 10,000 companies around the world who are united by the B to share our story during #BCorpMonth šŸ‘‰ Our mission has always been closely aligned with the core values of the B Corp movement, understanding that success is measured not only by commercial performance, but by our contributions to the wellbeing of employees, communities and the planet. This alignment is why we were proud to earn our B Corp certification in April 2024 with a score of 88.8, well above the average for ordinary businesses. As we've challenged industry norms, embraced continuous learning, and embedded social value into everything we do – from mentoring young people in our studios to collaborating with forward-thinking developers – we're proud to lead with a commitment to inclusive, long-term impact. For us, B Corp certification is not just a badge; it’s a benchmark that reminds us of the important work ahead. Join us this month as we celebrate the power of purpose-driven business! #CertifiedBCorp #Impact #Sustainability #ResponsibleBusiness @bcorpuk @bcorporation

šŸ’œ At PRP, we understand that real change isn't always about the monumental; sometimes it's the sum of small, conscious choices made daily that truly make a difference. Embedding social value means looking beyond the big projects and into our everyday operations. This #InternationalWomensDay, as the #GivetoGain campaign encourages generosity and collaboration for women's advancement, we're excited to share an action that illustrates this: We're taking a simple, yet meaningful step by switching our studio coffee to a variety of blends from @mrtintocoffeeroasters . More than just an upgrade to our morning routine, this decision aligns our values with impactful action: šŸ‘‰ Their "El Rosario" blend comes from a small women’s producer group in Colombia. šŸ‘‰ Their model generates vital employment for single mothers in the region. šŸ‘‰ They champion ethical sourcing, fair trade, and a low carbon footprint. By choosing Mr. Tinto, we're making a small, everyday decision that offers significant support to a business genuinely empowering women, helping to build a world where they can truly thrive. What will you give to gain gender equality this #IWD26?
