Hello everyone, Cally here! 🤩 Last weekend, we celebrated an absolutely electrifying #PinkDot17 with everyone; for 4 hours straight, we gave out delicious popsicles, fans & pins to all the new friends & family in our #PROUT community 🫶 Massive shoutout to the amazing Prout team at the booth who were holding the fort while I ran around searching for Baby C as she can REALLY sprint these days 🏃‍♀️💨💨💨 @pinkdotsg is truly an intense experience & I am uber grateful that these fabulous folks dedicated their day to Prout’s work 💖 Prout’s platform () is a labour of love over the last few years & we are thrilled that folks like you are excited to use it to connect to inclusive service providers in the areas of healthcare, legal, jobs & even access safe housing! We are #PROUT to launch our community-built platform that connects you to inclusive critical service providers in the areas of Healthcare, Legal, Housing & Jobs 🥳 The platform is already LIVE & available for everyone to use at - free for all! 🏳️‍🌈 It has been a looong journey since Cally took over as Prout’s Director in 2022, with the platform’s entire direction pivoting in the process (and also the maternity break). Dear Prout Family, As a queer person growing up in Singapore, I've always asked myself: What is a "family"? Especially with the repeal of 377A, we increasingly see the concept of "family" and "children" being positioned as something incompatible and/or inconceivable with being LGBTQ+. We hear stories of values being broken, ideals being tested, and stability being destroyed. That "family" and "children" need protection from our LGBTQ+ community. This year, I am embarking on my own journey and starting a queer family with my wife, Ching. As I experience all these changes to my body and worldview, I realise that it is both a privilege and a fight to be working on this with someone I love and trust to build this future with together. We are constantly inspired and learning from those who led the way before us and we look forward to doing more when we are ready. Queer, brave, unique families are all around us: blended, chosen, non-traditional units that support and love each other. It has been a journey and we are proud to bring into the world two bubs very soon: our little rainbow human, and our upcoming web-app. We can't wait to see you at Pink Dot 15 on 24 June. Let's make a stand, and celebrate all families.
