We were honored to participate in the Lunar New Year Celebration at @brooklynconservatory . Our activity was to design wilderness cabins as the Fire Horse represents bold action, passion and transformation. Kids sketched their concepts and many made original cardboard models. Ambitious and bold!

In this typography exercise the kids were each given a random word which they had to express visually in a way that enhanced the meaning of the word. Shown here are: playground, action, dreams, watermelon and epic mountain.
They were encouraged to activate the letters as much as possible. It’s an exercise about thinking in visual metaphors and about typography.
