I’m launching a new Montreal based tape label, Cilice, focused on Canadian experimental music. We’re celebrating on December 13th at Casa del Popolo with a lineup of artists from across the country, along with a set from me. It’s been a long time in the making, and we have a handful of releases lined up for early 2026. Hope to see you there!

John Wiese is a pillar of the experimental and noise underground, known for pushing sonic extremes through projects like Sissy Spacek and his long-running label, Helicopter. Over the years, he’s collaborated with the likes of Merzbow, Robert Turman, GX Jupitter-Larsen, MSBR, and many others. On June 2nd, he brings a rare solo performance to Montreal.
