Every celebration looks a little different, and that’s exactly how we like it! From weddings, to 50th birthdays and traditions passed down through generations, this space continues to be shaped by the people who gather here - watching the year unfold already has us feeling grateful. Spring dates are booking quickly, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!

As another year wraps up, we’re taking a moment to pause and thank YOU! Thank you for celebrating with us, growing with us, and trusting Propagate with your biggest milestones. This year, we hosted over 160 events - over 40 weddings, 60+ showers, corporate retreats, workshops, and countless community gatherings that remind us why this space exists in the first place. We sold enough soil scoops to fill the space three times over, lost track of plant deliveries (truly), and spent the year doing what we love most- creating spaces where people (and dogs 🐕) feel welcomed, cared for, and connected. Cheers to our retail team, our event superstars, the folks behind the scenes (and screens!), and to this beautiful, imperfect, ever-evolving place we get to call home. We’re excited for what’s ahead in 2026, new ideas, new ways of gathering, and more moments to celebrate. As the year winds down, so does one chapter of Propagate- After months of discussion and an intentional brand redirect, December 24th will be the final day of retail operations at Propagate. We opened in 2019 as a plant shop - a place to gather, to slow down, and to bring a little more green into Sacramento. Because of your support, Propagate grew quickly and became something much bigger than we ever imagined. As the retail landscape continues to shift and costs rise, we found ourselves evolving too, listening closely to where the space felt most alive. What became clear is that community and gatherings are the heart of Propagate. While our retail chapter is coming to a close, Propagate is not going anywhere. All booked events and future rentals are completely unaffected, and we’ll continue operating fully as an event space. Stepping away from retail allows us to better support the celebrations, ceremonies, workshops, and moments of connection that have shaped this space in such meaningful ways. And while the plant shop is closing, plants are not going anywhere. Greenery, installations, backdrops and plant-filled spaces will continue to be a core part of every gathering. This decision wasn’t easy, the plant shop is where it all started, but growth often asks us to let go in order to deepen what’s working. We’re incredibly grateful for every visit, every scoop of soil, and every person who helped this shop become a community. We’d love to invite you in today through 12/24 to enjoy the Plant shop and special holiday promotions. We’re so excited for what’s ahead and can’t thank you enough for sticking with us!

Still can’t believe we were voted Sacramento’s #1 Wedding Venue! When we opened in 2019, we were just a little plant shop with big dreams. Because of your support (and love of plants), we grew quickly and expanded into the space you know today. As the retail world shifted and plant demand slowed, we found ourselves evolving and the most natural, joyful pivot was expanding on our gatherings.
