Can you spot which shot is AI and which one is real?
For this TV campaign with MOWI, we blended real production footage with AI-generated sequences to create a seamless visual narrative. We didn’t use AI as a shortcut, but as a cinematographic tool.
The goal was simple: one film, one visual language, no fracture.
The challenge was making them feel like they belong to the same film. Real footage anchors the important part of the story, but what AI enabled was the visual moments such as macro details, the textures and the shots that would eat half your budget and a full day on set.
What that actually required:
• Analyzing the lighting, lens language, and camera movement of the real footage
• Designing prompts that mirror the same visual grammar
• Using AI primarily for inserts, textures, and macro moments
• Editing AI and real shots rhythmically inside the same sequence
• Unifying everything through color grading and sound design
When it works, the question at the top becomes genuinely hard to answer. That’s the whole point.
