As animation director I didn’t have a ton of time to animate day to day but on rare occasions I had the opportunity to jump in. I’m so glad I got to do at least one shot with this little bug from episode 1 ‘Narrator’s Big Day’ written by @tobytobyjones
This episode is a great example of the unexpected direction the show went in this season (the shapes are barely in it!) and as a big bug nerd I couldn’t resist this character.

Back on the paper cutouts!
Working out an easy way to get quick snaps of these without doing a whole camera setup. Using just my basic phone means the colors are all over the place though. Progress pic is the more accurate if the two!
Making a no-audio collage of some of my shots to use a home page for a portfolio site. I haven't shared anything in a while, so why the heck not put it here too? I think they all work together oddly well.
Shape Island got 2 Annie nominations!
The episode nominated for best TV/Media Childrens is "Square's Special Place" - one of my favorites.
Its so gratifying to see the show get recognized, and we are with impressive company on the podium! There is talent galore top to bottom on this show - I'm so proud of the work we did.
