new single “fixed fate” is out today :,) listen anywhere you get music besides spotify this song is about grief. it’s about my dad. it’s me grieving my dad. i had such a hard time feeling and expressing anything to him or to anyone, especially when he was first diagnosed when i was in high school. its kind of anger, kind of acceptance, kind of just processing what happened before, during and after. to watch someone you love die slowly and painfully and to have no control over it is complicated and excruciating and it fucking sucks. and i don’t think ill ever be over it. i have so many questions i would ask him now, so many things i would say and want to argue and confide in him about. i feel sad every time i realize i don’t get the chance. this song is so, so different than the rest of the album - it’s angry, it’s loud, it’s literally a different genre than everything else. it was really hard to make, honestly. thanks for listening and getting this far. this song wouldn’t be possible without @projectjunebug she did so much to help build out the sound of this song mastering: @daughterboardaudio photos: @ya___z thank you to @nineathensmusic for making this project possible :)

That’s right: I’m posting to timeline twice today, because there are not one but TWO incredible albums I worked on dropping. Getting to collaborate with @ghenetea on this was really special, his strength of vision and prismatic musical expressiveness make his work something utterly unique and, I think, magical. Big chunks recorded here in my studio, big chunks recorded in Banti’s bedroom by himself, big chunks, I assume, pulled from an etheric dimension using a hyperspace-capable fishing rod. Thanks for inviting me along for the ride friend 🥰

Our new record, "The Impermanent Coffee Can," will be out on streaming services at midnight on Friday 11/7 and will eventually be available on CD as well. We will be playing the album live, end to end, on Saturday 11/15 at Former Jumanji in Stoughton (dm for addy) with support from the greatest to ever do it, @puppy__problems .
