Proximare (Latin): to come or draw near, to approach, be near A system caught in a continuous cycle of approach and separation. Drawn together, held apart, orbiting each other without collision. Light sources fall and climb in altitude, circling around the balcony. The sources in both rings affect each other. Sometimes they attract, sometimes they repel. Relative distance is their common language, creating a sonic narrative of endless approach. Proximare premiered at Mapping Festival (@mappingfestival ) in Genève and is on view at the Musée d’Art et d’Histoire (@mahgeneve ) until May 28. Traditional GRID – Sumo Scene As the Edo-Tokyo Museum is located adjacent to Ryogoku Kokugikan, this sumo sequence was created to strongly reflect the cultural context of the location. The scene was intentionally illustrated by hand under the direction of Daisuke Hashimoto, who led the overall visual production. By choosing hand-drawn animation over purely digital expression, the work captures a sense of human energy and emotional intensity that cannot be fully reproduced through digital techniques alone. This sequence embodies the artist’s commitment and sensibility as a contemporary creator.
