Project Goobang Premiere 🎞️
What an honour it was to stand up at the Project Goobang premiere and look out at a hall full of people who came to see the film, to support, and to share in what it’s all about.
The energy in the room was incredible – from our amazing guest speakers, to the thoughtful questions, to the way every element of the night came together. Everything was hand-picked, and it truly felt special.
I hope people left not just inspired by running, but inspired to explore the outdoors, to look more closely at the land we live on, and to see the opportunities that exist right on our doorstep.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring it together, to those who came along, and to our guest speakers who made it even more engaging and meaningful.

This week I had the pleasure of speaking with a bunch of bright, curious, and energetic young minds — the Physical HPGE (High Potential and Gifted Education – Physical Domain) students from Parkes East Public School. These children come from a mix of physical disciplines, from athletics to dance, all with a passion for movement and potential to do great things with it.
We explored the world of ultra running, Project Goobang, and the beauty of Goobang National Park. We spoke about training, motivation, nutrition, recovery, and how sometimes things go to plan… and sometimes they don’t.
They watched the film, asked some great questions, and then we headed outside for a short running drill session – moving with purpose and joy.
We also touched on my work as a Physiotherapist and Run Coach, and I was reminded how powerful it is to spark curiosity – and how sport isn’t just about being the athlete. There are so many ways to be involved. Sport is bigger than just performance – it’s community, creativity, and contribution too.
To the HPGE kids – thank you for your thoughtful questions, your big energy, and your willingness to have a go.
Keep asking questions.
Keep chasing your potential.
And always find joy in movement.
