First award - Best Writer, Comedy Pilot: I didn’t even realize I was nominated for best writer, and it caught me completely off guard…but I’m grateful that in that moment, I was able to think of all the writers in our industry during this crucial and historic time. My award, and my speech is for you! Our second award - Audience Award, Comedy Pilot: This one is special for so many reasons… and it was such a great feeling to take away the audience award for comedy at SeriesFest! All of the attendees and creators at SeriesFest are the most loving, supportive, creative, energetic collective you will find in the country. We came… we saw… We’re STILL conquering! Team @Project_Grown x Def Jam x @SeriesFest KILLED our party here in Denver Sunday night. Here’s just a few highlights!!! When @ceehazthebarber told me Def Jam wanted to do another party with us after our successful event at @SXSW , we immediately went into work mode… And we worked nonstop day and night from the end of March til this week to ensure it’s success.
