Last weekend thousands of people from all over Chicago came to 75th and King Drive to @spendintheblack
In the words of Pastor @charliedates "this is the single greatest concentration of black businesses in a single corridor in our city".
God did it again this year!
God brought us together, we bought together, we laughed together, and we are building together.
Pastor Dates, Chicago is better because of your faith and obedience to God.
Thank you @salem_chicago
Thank you @progressivechicago
Thank you to the @6wardcentral staff.
Beyond this day, let us continue to spend and sustain our businesses and communities one block at a time.
To the future we go.

Easter Sunday was truly unforgettable!
Thank you for spending your morning with us at the Marriott Marquis. It meant so much to share such a special service.
We hope your Easter weekend in Chicago 🩵 was filled with joy, love, and a reminder that HE’S ALIVE 🙌🏾
Year 2 of Spend in the Black was a true SUCCESS! ✊🏾✨
Over 120 businesses lined 75th Street, showcasing the power, creativity, and resilience of Black entrepreneurship. Despite a rainy start, the sun came through right on time setting the tone for an incredible afternoon of community, culture, and connection.
This event was more than a gathering, it’s a movement. A reminder of the importance of supporting Black-owned businesses and intentionally circulating our dollars within our communities.
We’re beyond grateful to our partners, sponsors, dedicated vendors, and everyone who showed up and showed love.
Special shoutout to our Pastor @charliedates and Alderman @williamehall for bringing this vision to life and continuing to create spaces where our businesses can thrive.
Make sure you follow @spendintheblack for more moments, updates, and what’s next… because you never know when we’ll be back 👀
