From labour voices to major contractors from the US and UK, leading clients, technology firms, universities, SMEs and the Construction Leadership Council, I am pleased that we were able to bring so many parts of the industry together under the Gherkin’s iconic glass roof for such an honest and frank discussion about this issue. I know how hard it can be to struggle with your mental health and wanted to use the power of what I had built with @TheB1M to help tackle construction’s mental health crisis — the biggest challenge facing the industry that I love.
When I founded @getconstructiontalking with @procoretech I had no idea we’d have this level of impact: almost $700,000 raised for charity, events across three continents and hundreds of organisations inspired to take action. It’s incredible, and speaks to the collective will there is worldwide to tackle this issue from the grassroots up.

Yesterday I had the privilege of speaking on a panel at the Construction Mental Health Summit 2025, hosted inside the iconic Gherkin.
Huge thanks to @fred_mills and Sasha Reed for the invite and for putting together such a fantastic event. The atmosphere was as inspiring as the setting - a room full of people determined to shift the conversation on mental health in construction.
My key takeaways from the panels:
✅ Health must be valued as much as safety
✅ Time for medical appointments should be protected, not pressured
✅ Gambling and substance abuse need to be openly addressed, not brushed aside
✅ Real change comes from honest conversations, not just policies
✅ Engagement and buy in from the ground up is essential.
✅We can influence external and internal pressures by making a better workplace for everyone.
✅ On time payments needs to be prioritised, why give people financial worries ontop of everything else

Here are some of my best images from a week at the at the Procore Championship. Very surreal to say this was my 3rd PGA Tour event I’ve shot now. There’s nothing quite like the thrill and rush of being at these events - taking photos of the best in the world playing a sport you love.
As great as it is, I’m happy to be home and shut it down for the rest of the year in terms of professional golf. Fair warning, there will be lots of content coming in future weeks all from the six days spent at Procore.
When I started getting sober, I worked as a laborer for a small general contractor in Salt Lake City. Waking up early and doing hard physical labor gave me a routine and ignited a love for construction.
I went back to school and got a degree in construction management which led me to my first big girl job for a large general contractor. The rest is history. Thank you @procoretech for the opportunity to write an article highlighting the ways my life in recovery and construction intersect.
I wouldn’t have my career in construction without my sobriety.
