Melanie Friedman is a couture-trained designer redefining what women wear on the golf course.
Educated at Parsons and Central Saint Martins, she built her foundation in New York and London, later working with fashion houses including Viktor & Rolf, Thakoon, and Derek Lam.
At Viktor & Rolf, her design closed the Paris Couture Fall/Winter show, one of the highest honors in fashion. Her work has since been worn by Bella Hadid and Helen Mirren, among others.
Before founding Crossover Golf, Melanie launched her own line, Ruzja, carried in California boutiques, sought after by Neiman Marcus, and worn by Keith Richards, Patti Hansen and Molly Sims.
Raised on the course alongside three Division I golfer siblings, she saw firsthand the gap in women’s golf apparel, an industry that had never been designed with the same intention as the rest of a woman’s wardrobe.
