“ 𝐀ᥣᥣ 𝐏α𝗋𝗍𝗌 𝐂ⱺ𐓣𝗌𝗂ᑯ𝖾𝗋𝖾ᑯ ” a collaborative group exhibition, opens TOMORROW Friday April 24th from 6-9pm at @problemlibrary 1288 15th Ave, SF. Come say hi and see some awesome artwork!!
This Friday we’re hosting a special art-infused community yoga class and art opening with Set Sun and our very own Alice Barreras.
The class will draw on Katonah Yoga’s “Body As A House” concept to identify our patterns and consider how they are shaped by our history and inform our future. Each movement will be surrounded by Alice’s art: painted wooden objects that draw from domestic space, folklore, and storytelling.
This evening offers time on the mat, in the gallery, and in conversation to sit with what we’ve inherited and imagine how we might remake the rooms we live in.
Join us on the mat at 5:30pm for yoga and/or at 7pm for the art show.
Come practice. Come connect. All are welcome.
$25+ per student.
All proceeds support Problem Library.
More info on our site.

Join us tonight, February 26 at 6pm for a lively panel discussion highlighting local businesses that repair the things we love.
In a culture that encourages the replacement of things when they break or wear out, we’re gathering to celebrate the people who keep them going.
The owners of Ben’s Watch Boutique, Roberto’s Tailor, and Phil’s Electric Company will be in conversation with Nicole Meldahl of Western Neighborhoods Project discussing the importance of their work and connecting it to the history of San Francisco.
This program continues a series launched in October 2025 in partnership with Kathryn Hyde of reEnvisionRepair, a project celebrating the art of preservation through the stories of those who keep things working.

This Saturday at TMI, Blake Conway (Problem Library) will be chatting with Dapo Onikuyide about the fragrance he’s been developing for Problem Library, here are a few words form him on what inspired him to make this: Problem Library reminds me of the kind of community I had in school, people pushing the boundaries of their fields, open to sharing stories and resources, constantly questioning how things work and how they could be better. It’s non-hierarchical, expansive, and rooted in a deep love for learning. When they asked me to create something for the space, I wanted to capture that spirit, the texts, people, and moments that define it. That’s what Twelve Eighty-Eight is about.
Too Much Information
Saturday, November 22 2025
Talk starts @ 5PM
1288 15th Ave
San Francisco, CA
This Saturday at 10:15am, Too Much Information #006 kicks off with The History of Arts Education Part II, a shareout of continued original research by @daniel_lucass and @nostosnic of @outsidelandz .
San Francisco has a storied history of community-led arts education, from long-standing juggernauts like the California College of the Arts and the now-defunct San Francisco Art Institute, to influential experiments like the Alvarado School Art Workshop and The Rudolph Schaeffer School of Design. These schools and their associated scenes nurtured generations of artists, thinkers, and builders who shaped the global image of San Francisco as a cultural haven.
By revisiting these examples, we can draw lessons and inspiration about how to build similar spaces today. These histories sharpen our thinking as we consider: What are we offering young creatives today? What conditions are we creating for discovery, risk, and deep engagement? How do we build on the legacies of foundational institutions?

The History of Arts Education Part II is part of the morning session of our two-part all-day love letter to community, Too Much Information. Go to toomuchinformation.info for the full schedule and tickets.

Join us for the opening of “In No Particular Order,” a group show of paintings by three emerging, San Francisco–based artists: Alice Barreras, Nico Lown Heitz, and Sofi Criswell.
Each artist explores myths, relationships, and stories as they make sense of the world on their own terms. All three use painting as a form of play and as a way to make tangible artifacts that give shape to a shared understanding of the world as it’s unfolding.
As a collection, the works on view are as much about growing up as they are about growing aware. The show’s title reflects their artistic process and the way growth and learning happen: in waves, phases, and no particular order.
We hope to see you there.

The trio are part of The Conviviality Cohort, a working group within Problem Library experimenting with hospitality, care, and public engagement.

We have great news: WNP Book Club returns on October 26th! Join us @problemlibrary this Sunday at 4pm as we discuss “The Commissions” by artist Paul Madonna.
Part of the “Emit Hopper Mystery” series, “The Commissions” takes us on a thrilling illustrated tour of San Francisco with many stops in the western neighborhoods as we solve a who-done-it together. This story has it all: a rock star turned artist, a legendary private detective, a love child, police corruption and more! It’s also an incredible snapshot of the city in 1999 on the brink of monumental change.
Sean Connelly, Humanities lecturer emeritus at SF State and WNP Executive Director Nicole Meldahl will provide context to the book, and chat with @paulmadonnastudio , who is joining us for the evening because he is the best!
Even if you haven’t read the book (although you definitely should), we bet you’ll enjoy this book discussion. Paul will have extra copies on hand to sell, and we can attest that they make excellent gifts. There will also be food themed to classic San Francisco takeout eaten in the book, a soundtrack featuring songs pulled from the novel, games, and more activities.
This event is free because of support from the Sunset Heights Association of Responsible People (SHARP). And all of our featured books can be purchased at a 10% discount in-person from @greenapplebooks and @greenapplebooksonthepark because they are also awesome! Just mention WNP Book Club when at the register.
See our Eventbrite listing, accessible through the link in profile, to RSVP in advance so we know how many to expect for catering.
We look forward to seeing you soon, history friends!

Save the date! Too Much Information returns to Problem Library for the sixth time on November 22. We will close out a year of abundant activity with another all-day love letter to being here now: a day to observe and participate in the world around us, whether through music in the park, conversing about site-specific movement practice, or learning about our local history and our place within it.
The day will be broken out into a morning session and afternoon session, with optional dinner add-on. Come for some or all.
More info to come.
