30+ BMW E30s. One starting grid. And somehow, everyone’s still friends.
This is
@pro3racing .
Started by twins Wes and Ken Hill over two decades ago as a grassroots solution to motorsport, PRO3 follows a simple formula: BMW E30 325i, stock M20 with a chip, Toyo RR tires, OEM brakes, minimal aero, and no ABS. The result is racing defined by discipline and craft, not horsepower.
It’s a formula that has endured, even as the E30 has shifted from cheap and abundant to collector status. Grids still regularly exceed 30 cars, with the gap between first and tenth often barely measurable at the line.
But PRO3 isn’t just about the racing. It’s what happens off track. No rivalries spilling into the paddock, no drama, just a shared focus on getting better and keeping each other on track for the next session.
That culture shows up quickly.
Home developer by trade, racer
@isaiahdummer cut his teeth in PRO3 from the outset. His turning point came riding shotgun with Kevin Doyle of KD Motorsports. “I thought I was driving hard, tires squealing, all over the place,” he says. “Kevin gets in and it’s calm, quiet, and substantially faster.” Two laps later: “I realized I know nothing.” Now, he passes that knowledge forward.
On his first race weekend, Dummer’s transmission failed. He started packing up. “Two or three guys came over like, ‘Don’t leave. We’ve got another transmission. Let’s change it out tonight.’ Next thing I know, I’m racing the next day.”
For
@sienakitch , PRO3 was always familiar. She grew up recognizing cars in the paddock, especially one owned by her friend’s father. When it came up for sale, she bought it. “Full circle,” she says. “I used to go to my friend’s house after school. Now I’m in her dad’s garage learning to wrench.”
“Friends between checkered and green.” PRO3’s Motto, and what truly sets it apart from anything else.
