Good to see my family.
Weird to see the ashram in its death throes.
The current administration is threatening to fire people who want speak their truth and threaten elders with eviction. These are people who’ve worked and lived the community for 50 years.. as much as I have my issues with the ashram it’s sad that ruling with fear still reigns.

Two-term California State Poet Laureate Lee Herrick will present a reading and discussion of his work on April 24 at 6:00 PM in Prim Library.
Doors open at 5:30 PM.
Herrick, the first Asian American to serve as California Poet Laureate and the first to be reappointed to a second term, is the author of four acclaimed poetry collections, including In Praise of Late Wonder and Scar and Flower. His work explores identity, memory, and belonging with clarity and depth.
