No work like this could ever come together without a team of dedicated collaborators working towards a common goal. I am beyond lucky to have had the honor of directing this production and am moved to this day by the memories of watching us all running backstage, changing costumes as fast as we could to the sound of the most beautiful live music by our our incredible musicians, the team of technicians peering over the balcony making sure every cue was hit on time, and looking out through a sliver between the curtains to see crowd after crowd of masked audiences, engaging and being moved by our work at a time when we had been told i’d be impossible to have a live show. WE DID IT! And Nashville showed up. And this gift is now a symbol to commemorate our work and remind us that limitations are but a container for us to mold our work inside of and that limits are there for us artists to push into and to help us make a new impossible, real. One last dance • • @littlepieceofjoi and @_lenin performing the mirror duet in @prism_experience Tonight is our last day of shows and it is bittersweet. Our hearts are humbled and full by the response of our Nashville audiences and by the waves of encouragement and love that have come back to us after every day or performances. It is a gift to get to move and one that we can no longer take for granted, but it is even more special to get to share the sacred space of the theater in communion with an audience.
