🚨ATTENTION🚨: what you’re looking is the current state of my factory, Lucky 33, located here in NYC’s garment district. I received the news this past Saturday that the factory had caught on fire the night before and everything was lost.
All of Printed Pattern People’s most popular fabric/textiles, our paper patterns, most of our trim, notions…everything is gone.
Our materials along with all the other brands that Lucky 33 works with have lost everything.
Thankfully, no one was there at the time of the fire and no was injured. Yvonne, the factory owner, who I’ve been working with for the past eight and a half years has suffered such a great lost, along with her employees who count on this factory for their livelihood.
I’m still sorting out what to do with PPP in light of this incident but what I would REALLY appreciate is if you could find something…anything to donate to Yvonne’s GoFundMe at this time, to please do so. (The link will be in our bio and stories)
Yes, I’ve also lost a lot of money because of this: my paper patterns - most importantly - (which are used to cut all of the pieces I sell), the handmade fabric from Senegal, India…it’s all gone now - but I am just one person…and I will have to reinvest in myself and remake everything when I can, in due time.
However, this fire is so much bigger than just me. Yvonne, her family, her sewers, her cutters…everybody has been impacted severely by this incident and as a child of an immigrant parent myself, I can only imagine how devastating it is to lose everything that you’ve built up and worked for, all at once…so at this time, I would appreciate if we could band together and help them out. Anything and everything helps…thank you in advance on behalf of Yvonne and Lucky 33.

On the day of our 10-year anniversary, it is with immense gratitude and a very full heart that I announce the closing of my online shop and the brand as you have come to know it.
There’s no way to encapsulate the gravity of what I feel in this moment, in making this announcement, in one post. But I did my best to try. It’s taken me literally all day to compose this and I said I wasn’t going to be too wordy and yet here we’re are. Many, many words later.
If you read through this and can feel even an ounce of the love, support and gratitude I have for you and for what this chapter of my life has meant to me, then I’ll consider it successful. For everything that Printed Pattern People has been and will remain hereafter, I am forever grateful.
I do hope that you come with me to see what’s next but if not, thank you so very much for rocking with me this time around.
