🚨STOP STEALING PEOPLE’S WORK!!!!🚨

okay, so I posted this in my stories yesterday and have since been urged to post in feed to amplify so here it is. If you can listen to it with the 🔊sound on🔊 please do, if not here’s a summary below:
Back in December, through an ad that was shown to me on IG, I discovered that yet another brand grass_fields had stolen my artwork (that I made in 2022 & sold through my own business’ online shop: Printed Pattern People as art prints) and was using & selling it on one of their accessories. That same night I contacted them, informed them that I am the artist, sole owner and copyright owner of this art they are using and they do not have my permission to use or sell it without my knowledge and compensation. I asked them to pause all sales and take it down. They replied saying they bought it in good-faith through a third party licensee and that I need to prove that I made it. As you’ll see in the video I sent them a file of my original artwork with dated screenshots compared to the item they are selling on their site). They said they needed more proof and I countered and I said that now that I know my work has been stolen twice, to disclose said third party as well. They replied again, said it would be bad business to disclose the third party, as well as to pause sales without proof that I made it. They then proceed to RESTOCK this now sold out item and move it to the main header pic on their home page.
So cool, I then notified Shopify and sent them the same file as proof that this business that they host is selling my work on an item that they do not own and did not purchase from me and they removed with within three days of my claim. Since tapping my lawyer into the convo last month, grass_fields has gone mute... (continued in comments)

since I was a kid, I’ve loved collecting the small things that tell big stories…coins, currency, stickers, stamps, postcards…little pieces of artwork, each with its own story to tell.
on every trip, I find ‘something to keep’ and ‘something to share’, a ritual that always makes my travels feel complete.
little did I know that these practices…would be the seedlings that grow into something much more…much later on. this is the beginning of Keep Me Posted 💌
