Print & Object is excited to announce the release of Smoke Toad, @marina.kozak ’s most recent project developed through the imagined lens of a fictional, secular, ancient spiritual cult.
By working within an imagined mythology, Kozak explores how magic, symbolism, and narrative can provide solace amidst the repetitions of daily life. Smoke Toad is both object and offering: a vessel of ritual designed to hold the weight of our inner burden and born from a secular religion unbound from the burdens of historic, organized religion.

As if excavated from a psychedelic coral reef or prismatic crystal cave, Cohn’s sculpture series evokes references to the natural world with vivid enhancement. Delicate ripples cascade into cavernous corridors, forming a maze of undulating pathways and shifting terrain adorned with glistening glass sparkle.
This series emerges from Cohn’s evolving sculptural language, developed through years of ceramic exploration. It celebrates iridescent, playful color palettes and intuitive flow. At once organic and theatrical, Cohn’s practice imbues wonder into the visual experience. Responding to the environment around it, each sculpture glistens and glitters as light fractures across the glass orbs like treasured pearls embedded within the blushed topography.
