La Liste was honored to take part in the K-Cooking Battle â Rediscovering Korean Cuisine at Parisâ K-Street Festival, which welcomed over 100,000 visitors across two days !
On behalf of La Liste, our Korean International Director Stephanie Kim joined the jury alongside outstanding chefsâKwon Woo Joong(Kwon Sook Soo, La Liste Worldâs Top 1000), Sukwon Yong, Gilles Marchal and Eric Ticana.
This unique competition brought together passionate participants who showcased the richness of Korean fermentation and innovative culinary artistry on an international stage. Congratulations to Mr. Kong Myeong Hui, the winner of this yearâs K-Cooking Battle, and to every participant for their inspiring creations and dedication!
Chef Kwon Woo Jong, celebrated for his contemporary interpretation of Korean flavors at his Seoul restaurant Kwon Sook Soo, is one of Koreaâs leading culinary voices. Known for crafting *homemade JANG entirely by handâfrom fermenting soybeans to the final seasoningâhe embodies a philosophy that respects tradition while innovating for the future. His presence brought an authentic taste of Koreaâs fermentation heritage to Paris, inspiring fellow chefs and food lovers in Paris!
