How to put a bow on one of our best and hardest seasons? As we sit here on the ferry to the hustle and bustle of a non-Cordovan pace, thereās time for reflection.
Our season started with tragedy. We lost our head chef and brother in arms, Jensen. Cancer doesnāt discriminate and our team was blindsided. On top of this we showed up to Cordova to find the lowest snowpack in years and a super unstable snowpack to complete the package.
The team took a deep breath and came together like never before. Everyone pitched in and lifted each other up. The snowpack did things only the Chugach can do and stabilized in places, it helps to have a few million acres and multiple climates to search in. The guides and pilots did an incredible job finding the best of what the mountains offered everyday. The weather threw us a bone and provided one of the most incredible seasons weāve ever had. Dragons were ridden and we glimpsed realities beyond ourselves. We found a state of flow and rode it until the last drop.
Our clients commented over and over that they felt like they had been welcomed into our family. Thatās what sets this place apart. Itās the love and stoke. Itās the energy we tap into when the mountains meet the sea. The Chugach provides the greatest proving grounds on the planet and the people bring the creativity required to level up.
