Super pumped for tonight's edition of The Dig on @dancenationradio.ie - Episode 12 has an hour of the latest and greatest in techno and electro.
Then hour two is a very special thank you to @tracks_from_the_racks (shoutout to Eoghan and Tanya!) who invited me to collaborate on a cassette mix series. Tonight will be the broadcast premiere of that cassette, which will be available to buy soon! Limited and showcasing a bunch of Irish talent in various genres, they're not to be missed so follow the lads for updates π
In keeping with the format, I used a UHER 4000 Report reel-to-reel to record the mix on analogue, then bounced it back to digital with some fuzzy goodness π It was a blast to record and goes in many different directions, as entailed in the description.
Massive shoutout too to all the artists featured in this month's show - it would never be possible without you! Special thanks to @mylesserge_official for the promo to open the show with - dropping in April on physical and digital in tow with techno legend @jamiebissmire -
You DON'T want to miss this show tonight! 8PM Irish , 4PM EST - www.dancenationradio.ie π«‘
From Recovery Rooms To DJ Booths - Tonight's installment of The Dig is a special one.
Scars, setbacks, breakthroughs and basslines- I share the stories of two incredible examples of passion, resilience and finding rhythm through it all.
A special shoutout to @brainstorm.yng - you have to tune in and hear about her own road to recovery. Someone who has a deep love for music and never let her situation shape her outlook.
Then in the second hour of the show, I am pumped to welcome someone with determination, persistence, and a deep understanding of rhythm beyond hearing β DJ Dan Stanford brings his unique approach and duration to The Dig.
Diagnosed as deaf at the age of three, this is someone who wouldn't take NO for an answer and FEELS the sound, whether it be on digital or vinyl.
I'm very excited for you all to enjoy his mix on the airwaves.
All said, this show is for the fighters AND the creators.
Head over to www.dancenationradio.ie at 8PM Irish Friday May 15th for EP #14 of The Dig- a stacked lineup and one you will NOT want to miss. π«‘π
Pressed Into Memory - Delighted to be joining the Big Romance crew on Tuesday May 19th to share the records that shaped me.
Digging. Dancing. Chasing songs through cities.
Every record has a story attached to it. A train ride. A person I miss. Being lifted clean off my feet by the crowd at my first festival.
I can't wait to hear them through the wonderful sound system and more importantly, I cannot wait to share them with YOU.
See you at 9pm Tuesday for stories shaped by sound. π«‘π

Spinning it Back -
This time last week, the walls of Steamboat Limerick were FILLED with energy, laughter and unity. Music lovers came from far and wide to celebrate Record Store Day and we cannot thank you enough for what was a MASSIVE success.
Shoutout to our live artists @godknowsmc@firstclassrebel & @irish_wonders_dublin - each of you wore your heart on your sleeves and gave it serious welly! We love you and what you do.
To the selectors on deck throughout the day - @aisenmabeatz_@pmeeny@niall.coonerty@dariia.su@pressplayrepeat@dj_nullty@vinyl_cornelius - the scope and selection was savage and many heads were boppin' as the public dug through the racks for the music they love.
A huge thank you to the @onemorechoon vinyl workshop attendees too - we hope you got your journey off to a spinning start!
Last and certainly not least, big UPS to Martin, Niamh and Mark, El Jefe himself, for providing the canvas for the day. Steamboat truly is a special spot - free of judgment, of expectation but absolutely BULGING with TUNES!
If you didn't manage to make it last week, make a point of passing through the next time you're in Limerick. Follow for more live gigs and updates and we shall see you ALL very soon! πππ«‘
