כתבתי על הספר של אסף עיני לאתר מדף ושמתי לינק. אבל פה רוצה להגיד דבר פשוט - היום הוא נחגג ומושק, מלאכת המחשבת הזו, ״תגיד משהו על הים״. ומבלי להיות דרמטית, הספר מחזיק בתוכו משהו שקשור למרחב הזה ולזמן הזה, שאנחנו לא יכולות לחיות כרגע בלעדיו. ספר שהוא שומר מקום (הוא גם במו ידיו מייצר את המקום, ממציא אותו, מתעקש עליו בכפייתיות. ואז שומר). משונה להגיד על עדינות כזו שהיא חשובה כי זה מאד לא סגנונה, להיות חשובה. ולהגיד שהיא קריטית, אפילו. אבל כך אני חושבת. נכון יותר רואה. הערב באברבנאל 2, בית אורי ליפשיץ, 19:30. פרטים אצל הנפשות הפועלות @asafeiny @shiraz_grinbaum @ranbenazra @madaf.art

מניחה פה את הטקסט לסדנת הכתיבה לאמהות שנפתחת ביוני ומוסיפה - שחוסר האפשרות לבטא מהיום-יום האימהי משהו בכתב תקף גם לשאר המדיות. (בדמיוני- התרחשויות מיתולוגיות סוערות וחד פעמיות. מסתכלת בטלפון - מוצאת עוד סלפי מטושטש של אמא ופעוט גנריים). נראה לי שחוסר האפשרות תהיה נקודת מוצא טובה לכתיבה שלנו, אולי גם נושא. פרטים נוספים בביו. *** בשנת ההורות הראשונה שלה כתבה הסופרת רייצ’ל קאסק: “חוויית האימהות מאבדת כמעט הכול בתרגום שלה לעולם החיצון. באימהות מחליפה אישה את המשמעותיוּת הציבורית שלה בטווח של משמעויות פרטיות, וממש כמו צלילים החורגים מטווח מסוים, גם משמעויות אלה עשויות להיות קשות מאד לזיהוי על ידי אנשים אחרים.” הטלפון מצלצל אחרי ימים בהם לא דיברת עם אף אדם מבוגר. אם תפתחי את הפה כדי לענות, האם יצא בכלל צליל? ואם כן, איך יישמע, והאם יובן בצד השני? במקום הגה ששייך לסדר השפה את עשויה לפלוט סדרה של יללות והמהומים. ואולי עדיפות היללות על מונולוג בנושא דלקות אוזניים ותעריפי שמרטפות שלא מצליח לבטא דבר מהמתרחש מתחתיו. ומה בדבר אחרי חודשים, שנים או עשורים, כשאת מבקשת לומר משהו, לשבת להקליד? הסדנה מוקדשת לרגע הזה, לזיהוי הצליל, הראשוני לעיתים, שבוקע מאימהות – להאזנה קרובה אליו דרך קריאה בטקסטים, דיון והעמקה בכתיבה של כל אחת מהמשתתפות, תוך איתור אותן משמעויות חדשות, פרטיות, שהצליל הזה חושף. היא מיועדת לכל מי שזקוקה למקום בו יוכלו האימהות והכתיבה שלה להתקיים במקביל: בין שאת מחפשת את הדרך להמשיך ולכתוב, להבין איך לחזור אל הכתיבה, או להתחיל לראשונה. נבקש לאחוז בסדנה בשני קצוות: נחפש את החומרים האינטימיים, הכאוטיים והבלתי מנוסחים של האימהות תוך שאיפה לבסס גם את המבע, הפואטיקה והסגנון האישי הדרושים כדי לבטא אותם. לצורך כך נעבור בין סוגות שונות על הצורות והדגשים שהן מאפשרות ונקרא בטקסטים פרי עטן של אדריאן ריץ׳, אילנה ברנשטיין, אליס מונרו, אן אנרייט, ג׳וליה קריסטבה, דונלד ויניקוט, הילה בלום, מגי נלסון, קלאריס ליספקטור, שרון אולדס ותהילה חכימי. הסדנא בת 8 מפגשים שבועיים ותערך בימי ראשון בערב, בשעה 18:00-19:45, בחנות הספרים המגדלור, רחוב מקווה ישראל 18, תל-אביב. תאריכי המפגשים: 2.6, 9.6, 16.6, 23.6, 30.6, 7.7, 14.7, 21.7. @hamigdalor @michal_sever

האמת היא שאני כל כך רוצה להעביר ולעבור את הסדנה הזו שכמעט לא מאמינה שמותר לי. לא בכלל, לא עכשיו. (וסביר שאילולא @michal_sever לא הייתי מעזה להעלות על הדעת אפילו) בפרט שעד לפני כמה שנים קראתי כל ביטוי אימהי כתוב ובעל-פה כמו מבעד הטשטוש וערבול הקול הזה שרואות בתחקירים. זו הייתי אני שהלבשתי את הטשטוש - סוג של הישרדות תרבותית, כמיהה לחדש ולאחר, ורתיעה מהמוכר-לעייפה והבולעני, לא יודעת. ובאותו זמן, הרי לא עשיתי את זה לבד, הטשטוש אינהרנטי הן לדבר עצמו - לאפשרות להפיק מבע ברור כלשהו מהמקום הזה, העיסתי - והן לחוסר הרצון לשמוע אותו. מול כוחות הערפול האלה נפגש בסדנה ונעז להעלות על הדעת ולהעלות בכתב. כי זה כן מעניין, וחשוב, ונדיב, וחד-פעמי, ולא נוח עד לכדי בחילה ומבוכה, למצוא צורה בעיסה, ולהשמיע סימנים שפתיים ותרבותיים מתוך שירת דולפיניות. אז: הסדנה היא בת 8 מפגשים שיתקיימו במהלך יוני-יולי. אנחנו נכתוב בה ונקרא ונגיב לטקסטים זו של זו, ונקדיש להם את מלוא תשומת הלב והעצירה. כדי לכתוב אותם, גם נעבור בין סוגות שונות וכותבות שונות שהתיישבו שם, באמצע הכול, והצליחו ללכוד משהו ולבטא אותו. איך? מקווה שנפענח ביחד. לינק למידע נוסף ולהרשמה בביו, כמובן. יש לי המון מה להגיד, יותר מדי: על שאלות של בגידה בדבר אחד על מנת לאפשר נאמנות מוחלטת לדבר אחר, מהלך שמורגש חזק במיוחד בתקופה הזו אבל האמת הוא בלתי נפרד מהתפקיד האימהי בשבילי (נדמה לי שקוראים לזה במילים פשוטות ״לבחור״); על ערך העדינות שנשמע כזה מרפרף ובעצם הוא הבסיס לכל - (והוא מעשה פוליטי); על איך אחד השמות שחשבנו עליהם לסדנה היה ״בין לבין ותוך כדי״ וכמה קשה לתפוס שזו הצעת הקיום העיקרית כי איך אפשר להסתפק בה? כנראה שאפשר, וכדאי; על השאלה מה יפה מספיק כדי להיכתב מתוך מציאות אימהית (יפה במובן הספרותי); על השנים שעברו מהפעם האחרונה שעשיתי משהו במגדלור ובמה הן התמלאו וממה התרוקנו; וכמה לא הבנתי מה צפוי לי, כמה זמן זה יקח, כמה סמיך זה יהיה; אה ועל אחותי הכי קטנה שילדה אתמול בלילה! 11.5.24 ❤️ ועוד. אולי עוד אכתוב פה על משהו מכל זה ואולי נדבר על הכול פנים אל פנים שם, באכסניה של המגדלור (היש שם סימבולי יותר?) ואם כל זה נשמע עבורך, אז הרי את כבר יודעת. ובואי. @michal_sever @hamigdalor (צילום: @shira_aboulafia_ )

it’s been nearly a year since I wrote this essay, “To have my rest and eat it too” and collected these photos from friends here. The pics are meant to embody a possibility of resting in the face of Capitalism - not as in a small self-care break so you could later go back to thriving and consuming but as in the more painful option of not-wanting, or wanting less, or not using the resources available to you, or giving up, even. Yet not giving up the labor of self-representation. Also- how on earth can you not want? I never said this type of rest was simple or even felt good. A year later, the essay is published at a time when I’m asking myself about resting in the face of war. The two (capitalism, war) are obviously linked as both revolve around profit (for few) and the idea of maximizing usage of ppl, land, ideologies. In both I find it best to truly be willing to “lose”, grateful to lose, even. And I am. I used to think that emptying myself from certain desires, certain notions of fulfillment and certain belief systems is the only way of removing myself from my country’s violence. Yet these past few months raise a different question. Not: should I hold on or let go? but: what’s the furthest thing from reproducing war and the economy of war that I can feel or do? the answer is less about withdrawing (I mean yes- withdrawing from the occupied territories! but not withdrawing internally. sadly, as I’ve gotten quite good at it) and more about the willingness to want. To want the war to stop. To want, more than anything - the killing to stop (not just of “innocent people” but of all people). To dare to want a shared, safe-for-all life, here, in this place. Where else? As simple as that, as impossible, as ridiculous. does wanting your work to be known by another , as in - seen, recognized, acknowledged, in the deepest sense of these words, require having yourself, or some internet persona aspect of yourself, also be “known”, “seen”, “acknowledged”, “recognized”? I think in a very abstract way, that question is what this book, “Litay’s Garden”is about, to me. These three quiet entities: Litay Marcus (@litay____ ), Yaniv Edry (@yanivedry1 ) and The Garden (which is any garden), all embody a wish to create and have their creations be known, while at the same time, asking to disappear into their closed-off spaces, remain unseen. 👩🏼‍🌾📸🌱 on a personal note. the fact that since having Max a hundred years ago, i practice much more non-writing than writing, remains an open secret to me (meaning it is completely obvious and yet i hide it from myself). truly happy, and content, that by some alignment i could write the texts for this beautiful, whispering book. the images spoke both to the part of me that is always receding into a shadowy bush, and the part that wants to come out and play with others in the sun 🩵

some (more) words about my “MINOR CRAVINGS” article published in @vestojco_op : everything i’ve ever written was an attempt to understand something about one’s relationship to experiences of wanting, craving, desiring (especially if said “one” is a woman in which case those might not be the emotions most encouraged in her, not in a real way anyway ). as intimate as that relationship is (to our own desires) it also isn’t at all personal and involves systems of commerce, information and all types of politics. until recently i was most interested in ways of not wanting, or wanting very very little while remaining indifferent to “getting”. lately i find myself drawn to notions of small , immediate, satisfactions. ones revolving the most unimportant, unremarkable, objects. maybe i can buy the snack but not the narrative as to how it’ll make me feel? maybe 🥨 anyway, please know that the issue holds some truly beautifully written essays in by @alla_eizenberg , @tom__jeffreys , @moonamise , @erandorfman enjoy 🍰
