If you’re of a certain age or a fan of vintage television, you’ll remember the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons.
For Sunnies creative director and co-founder Martine Ho (@martine ), these retro shows hold a special place, with “The Jetsons” and “The Flintstones” among her favorites.
While her Melbourne home channels “The Flintstones” with wood and stone, her Manila apartment draws from the 1960s space-age aesthetic of “The Jetsons.”
From geometric lamps to psychedelic maps, Ho makes her home her own with about ten large-scale rugs (she designs them herself) and family portraits she holds most dear.
In a home that is both personal and playful, Ho believes that a home should grow with you into the future, always with roots to what brings you joy.

Skin responds to commitment more reliably than it responds to any one product or procedure, and the results I have seen—smoother neck texture, less hollowed under-eyes, genuinely moisturized skin each morning—are exactly the kind that accumulate steadily. And then, one day, in unforgiving midday light, you think (and see) clearly: something is working.

“The Devil Wears Prada 2” doesn’t seem to think so.
And even with all its charming spectacle and great, glamorous fun, the one-dimensional relationships that Andy, Miranda, and Emily were all subject to show that show writers can’t believe a fulfilled, happy, single woman can even exist.

@elisia_parmisano , who became part of Unis in 2024 after ranking first overall in the survival reality show “Universe Ticket,” is one of the two main vocalists of the eight-member group behind the catchy pop hits “Superwoman,” “Curious,” and “Swicy.”
But more than upholding that distinction and living up to its pressure, she also aims to be an example of Filipino “passion, loyalty, and dedication” to their craft on the global stage.
“Now that I’m working as a Filipino idol abroad, I try to bring not only the name of Unis but also that of the Philippines, wherever I go,” says Elisia, who started in local showbiz at around seven or eight, appearing in theater and on television, before moving to South Korea at 13 to train under Starship Entertainment
Speaking of bringing Filipino talent around the world, the 17-year-old singer says her heart is “exploding with pride” after seeing Bini take the spotlight at Coachella and hearing about SB19’s upcoming performance at Lollapalooza.
“Seeing them and all their achievements also ignited a fire in me, and maybe even the rest of the group,” she says. “Those are our ates and kuyas. We respect them. Parang mas nakaka-motivate to do better.”

@cedrickgjuan gets candid about what traveling abroad has shown him when he flew to the Czech Republic to shoot for TV5’s new primetime television series, “A Secret in Prague.”
After surviving five filming days—and 10 days in total—in Prague, Juan returned home to the Philippines and did just that. While traveling has shown him what our country is missing, it hasn’t made him so cynical as to resign to the idea that what we have now is all we can ever have.
Inspired by the series’ message of love for the country, Juan remains optimistic, but not without the reminder that we also have to do our part—by “voting for the right people and espousing change in the smallest of everyday actions.”
“Loving our country may seem hard sometimes,” he says, “but no one else is going to love it but us.”

A hormonal condition affecting 1 in 8 women around the world just got a new name in hopes of improving care. It Is now called polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome instead of polycystic ovary syndrome.
Researchers and supporters of the change said the old name, often shortened to PCOS, is inaccurate. It reduced a complex hormonal or endocrine disorder to a misunderstanding about cysts and a focus on ovaries, contributing to missed diagnoses and inadequate treatment, said the Endocrine Society, a global group of physicians and scientists.
“The thought behind that is that one, there’s no cysts in the ovary, so it’s very confusing,” said Dr. Melanie Cree, one of the authors of the Lancet article and a pediatric endocrinology expert at the University of Colorado Anschutz. “The hope was that with a more comprehensive and accurate name change, that it would start to enable and push better care.”
The name change—made after 14 years of collaboration between experts and patients—was published in The Lancet on Tuesday.

The beauty industry is constantly flooded with new products, and standing out is no easy feat. With how quickly launches, limited collections, and trend-driven formulas are released, there is always something being positioned as the next must-have. The newest blush texture, a foundation that promises perfect skin, a mascara wand shaped like something from outer space, beauty moves fast, and so does the pressure to keep up.
Of course, not everything deserves the attention. Some products are purely gimmicky—built more for curiosity than performance. Others become instant obsessions, selling out before anyone even decides if they actually work. And then there are the products that seem unusual at first, slightly confusing, maybe even unnecessary, but end up earning a place in your routine.
These are the beauty products that feel a little less expected, but surprisingly make sense once you try them.

Fresh off the box office hit “The Loved One,” screenwriter and director Irene Emma Villamor returns with her latest offering, “Midnight Girls.”
The film is a huge departure for Villamor, whose filmography is rife with stories revolving around the complex nature of love. From “Camp Sawi” to “The Loved One,” Villamor had always looked at the price of romance—especially in films like “Sid & Aya: Not a Love Story,” “Ikaw at Ako at ang Ending,” and “The Loved One”—where she argues that economics, politics, and society are of vital consequence to love and being in love.
