The world around you is collapsing & your best effort is bitching about it on the couch. In the comfort of your own home. Maybe, just maybe get up off your ass & go do something about it. There's an idea. Child trafficking is an epidemic of insane proportions. You can't even measure it anymore its so common. And its not going to stop or slow down unless we the people get out there and do something about it. If you can't, then donate to the cause. Simple. Most won't. #savethechildren #notforsale #usa

Vitamin D/testosterone correction. While it isn’t a direct precursor to or has no direct influence on testosterone metabolism. There is independent association between it, Free and total testosterone concentrations. This association was linear at lower levels, plateaued at higher ones. Per researchers. The positive association between the three, stops when vitamin D levels are optimal. In a study, it was found that subjects with optimized levels of testosterone (>26.51 ng/mL) had, on average, 15% more vitamin D than those with suboptimal levels of testosterone. A newer study found serum vitamin D concentrations to be a significant, positive predictor of total testosterone.17 This result suggests that highly active populations; military and athletes, may remedy low test by optimizing vitamin D levels. A randomized controlled study, found men that were given a daily, high-doses of vitamin D significantly increased total testosterone, from 10.7 nmol/L to 13.4 nmol/L. Where as there were hardly any changes in testosterone (concentrations) in the placebo group. Yet another, concluded when men failed correcting the D deficiency, on average, had total T levels of 319.6 ng/L, while men who took daily Vitamin D (at 1,000 I.U) and men with naturally sufficient levels of vitamin D, had total T levels averaging, 341.7 ng/L. With all this stated, supplementing Vitamin D will not work in replacing T/HRT for those “clinically” deficient in the hormone. As it (may) only help, if you’re deficient in both testosterone and vitamin D. What ever the case, supplementing 1000 I.U with 220 mg of zinc sulfate twice a day, 400 mg Magnesium citrate a day, all help to SUPPORT healthy testosterone metabolism.

Groin injuries are some of the deadliest — and a tourniquet won’t help you. The femoral vessels run deep through the inguinal region. When they’re compromised, you have one play: pack the wound. Pack the wound deep with hemostatic gauze, apply a pressure dressing, and hold firm. That’s your intervention. Know it before you need it.

Airway management isn’t just placing a tube and moving on. Things to take into consideration: • Oxygenation vs ventilation • Work of breathing • Mental status changes • EtCO₂ trends • Pulse oximetry limitations • Tidal volume and respiratory rate • Patient positioning • Equipment failure • Suction readiness • Hypothermia and fatigue in prolonged care Tips for success: • Reassess constantly • Watch trends, not just single numbers • Use waveform capnography whenever possible • Good BVM technique matters more than people think • Don’t hyperventilate trauma patients • PEEP can improve gas exchange by keeping alveoli open • Prepare for failure before it happens • Slow down and think through the physiology In trauma and prolonged care, the airway is never truly done. #TCCC #PCC #AirwayManagement #CriticalCare #EMS

People love talking about gear. Not enough people talk about communication. In prolonged casualty care, your ability to communicate and document can directly impact survival. A clean handoff matters. Tracking trends matters. Documenting interventions matters. Keeping leadership updated matters. Because when patients get passed from one provider to another in chaotic environments, missing information becomes a real problem. Good medicine is more than procedures. It’s coordination under stress. If you’re serious about tactical medicine, emergency medicine, or preparedness, this matters. Save this. Review it. Practice it. #TCCC #PCC #TacticalMedicine #CombatMedic #Paramedic

Four former Australian SAS soldiers have been granted immunity from prosecution to testify against Victoria Cross recipient Ben Roberts-Smith in his war crimes case. They admitted to involvement in the killing of Afghan detainees “at the direction of or in complicity” with Roberts-Smith. The testimony relates to five counts of war crimes (murder) allegedly committed in 2009 and 2012 against unarmed Afghan nationals. Court documents identify the key witnesses via pseudonyms: Person 4, Person 56, and Person 66. These admissions, detailed in a 24-page set of facts, are key to the prosecution’s case in the wake of the failed defamation case by Roberts-Smith. While they have immunity in Australia, legal analysts suggest these soldiers could still face investigation by the International Criminal Court.
