One of my mentors told me this years ago and I honestly didn’t fully understand it until exercises like this. In the first version, I’m trying to force range from a poor setup. In the second, the moment I organize my position better, I automatically access more range without forcing it. The second I stacked my ribs over my pelvis and found better alignment, the movement opened up naturally. Less compensation, more control, and ironically
more range. Your setup matters more than people think. Better alignment → better movement efficiency. Sometimes more range doesn’t come from pushing harder. It comes from setting yourself up better. #pilatesinstructor #functionalfitness #pilates #core

Taking a classical movement and building on it to create a new challenge for the body! The single leg variation adds an anti-rotation stability demand and forces you to slow things down and control it. The frog reset brings in lower body strength and sets you up for what’s next. Then the pliĂ© jump adds power—eccentric control on the way down and a deceleration challenge as you catch the plank. #pilatesinstructor #contrology #pushup #balancedbody

These oblique variations build off classical Pilates work and go beyond basic side plank dips. They really target your sling systems. And you’ll feel muscles you didn’t even know existed ;) Give ‘em a try and lmk what you think! #planks #pilates #functionalfitness #obliques #pilatesinstructor

Real Pilates is more than stretching. It teaches you how to be strong through your full range, control your movement, and use your core in everything you do. #pilates #contrology #balancedbodypilates #cadillacpilates #functionaltraining

Not every workout that feels hard is actually effective. Anyone can make you tired. Not everyone can teach you how to truly use your body. The real difference? Feeling every muscle. Moving with control. Understanding what you’re doing
not just surviving the workout. Snippet from my virtual session with @pilatesandsports_cr This movement looks simple
but it takes full-body control, precision, and awareness. Something I learned through training with him is that you don’t need more exercises, more reps, or more intensity
 you need CONTROL.

Athletes are turning to Pilates for performance, not just flexibility. More and more athletes are feeling the difference Pilates makes in their training programs. Pilates is a powerful form of active recovery. It targets what the weight room and field work often skips. It strengthens the deep core and stabilizers, which support better movement mechanics and help the body handle the repeated loads and demands of sport. It trains mobility with stability, prioritizes spinal strength and rotation, and teaches athletes how to control their strength and power, not just produce it. #pilatesinstructor #activerecovery #pilates #pilatesforsports

If your low back takes over during core work, try changing the setup. Elevating the hips supports the spine and lets the core work through better hip range. #pilatesinstructor #coretraining #pilatesinspiration

Pilates inspired core, gym edition✹ The closest thing to the reformer at the gym is the cable machine. It’s versatile and similar in function. I’ll be honest tho! The reformer’s spring resistance does a better job at creating continuous tension, stability, and cleaner technique throughout the full movement. But this is still a great alternative and a fun way to change up your core work and give those muscles a new stimulus! #pilatesinstructor #cablemachine #gymworkout #pilatescore

A year of investing in the method đŸ€ This year I showed up for my own practice —training daily, traveling, and learning from some of the best instructors out there. Pilates will always continue to shape how I move, teach, and understand the body. Forever a student of the method. #pilatesinstructor #pilates #functionalfitness

Football is brutal on the front line of the body (hip flexors, quads, chest, etc) are constantly working and constantly tight. That’s why I love the Pilates thigh stretch. It’s both a dynamic stretch and an isometric strength move. It strengthens the back chain, opens up the front line, and restores balance so power flows through the whole body, not just the overworked parts. Pay off for football players: 👉Opens up hip flexors + quads so you can stride longer and cut cleaner 👉Strengthens glutes + back muscles for explosive push off power 👉Relieves low back tension from heavy training loads 👉Builds stability through the core and spine (“sandwich effect”) so you can handle contact without folding 👉Improves mobility while reinforcing posture = more control on the field #pilatesforperformance #football #activerecovery #functionalfitness #pilates
