OPERA EUROPA 🎶
Despite what a certain actor may have said, this last month has been a happily opera-saturated one for me. 🎉A highlight of this was to have the opportunity to contribute to the discussions at the Opera Europa Spring Conference ✍🏼 “Creation as Opportunity”, hosted by
@nationaleoperaballet Amsterdam. 🇳🇱
After 400 years, the questions “what is opera?” “what should opera be?” how to innovate an interdisciplinary music theatre?” are going as strong as ever. It’s encouraging to hear so many key movers in the industry express how new works are the beating heart of the art form.
