If it passes, 36,000 citizen children may lose their parents and their housing. Communities will be ripped apart. Homelessness will certainly increase. The regime is scapegoating immigrants so they can continue to consolidate more authoritarian power - don't be fooled by their lies.

Yesterday, the Trump regime published a proposal to evict “mixed-status families” – or families who have both eligible and ineligible members based on their immigration status – from public housing and other subsidized housing.
The regime is trying to blame immigrants for their own failure to address the housing crisis.
The proposed rule is CRUEL. If enacted, this proposed rule could lead to the eviction of over 100,000 people nationwide, including an estimated 37,000 US citizen children who are at risk of losing both their home and their parents.
Families will have to make an impossible and inhumane choice: force family members out or stay together and face eviction and homelessness.
Immigrants are already under attack. Without the safety of a stable home, our neighbors will be more vulnerable to being kidnapped and deported.
The proposed rule is COSTLY. Since mixed-status families have household members who get zero federal assistance, these families pay higher rents and effectively subsidize the entire federal housing system.
Without these crucial tenant contributions, local housing authorities will need to board up desperately needed low-income units.
HUD’s own analysis acknowledges this. The agency estimates $492 million in added costs, straining limited resources and increasing homelessness.
The proposed rule is COUNTERPRODUCTIVE. In order to solve the housing crisis we need more public housing, not less.
We will all be affected. The impact is nationwide, with California, New York, and Texas disproportionately affected.
*California: ~7,190 families at risk of homelessness and family separation.
*Texas: ~4,500 families at risk of homelessness and family separation.
*New York: ~2,540 families at risk of homelessness and family separation.
TAKE ACTION: Raise your voice. Trump tried this once before in 2019. We were able to block the proposal and protect our communities by coming together to VOICE OUR OPPOSITION.
