For over a year, @nyu students partnered with us to research ways the CAC can grow stronger and expand its reach by increasing participation, deepening community engagement, and ensuring that every voice is heard.

Service has always been a cornerstone of a Fordham Prep education.
Fordham Prep, in partnership with Part of the Solution (POTS), is honored to receive the 2026 Partnership Impact Award as part of the NYC Mayoral Service Recognition Program ✨
The award was presented by Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Chief Service Officer Laura Rog at Gracie Mansion earlier this week. The prize drew a record 171 nominations and more than 3,500 public votes.
Through the Great Ignatian Challenge, Prep students came together to raise $142,000 in food and donations and assemble over 600 hygiene kits supporting Bronx families through POTS’ Dignity & Wellness Program. The partnership with @POTSbronx is an essential and cherished component of who we are.
Of the five awards ultimately granted, Fordham Prep had a hand in two of those! Prep Alum Eric Ragone '12 also received an award in the AmeriCorps category for his work with God's Love We Deliver.

Last night, we hosted the Mayoral Service Recognition Ceremony — a citywide celebration of service honoring the more than 1-million volunteers in New York City and all of the organizations that engage New Yorkers in service.
Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani and Chief Service Officer Laura Rog announced this year’s Mayoral Service Impact Awardees, recognizing the exceptional service projects they lead to strengthen communities across New York City.
“Thank you for taking your love of the city and making it into something tangible, material, and heartfelt. Because that is what we are truly celebrating this evening, a love of this place we all call home, and a commitment to ensuring that every New Yorker can live a life of dignity.” —Mayor Mamdani.

Bronx parents and caregivers, join us and our friends at Part of the Solution (@potsbronx ) on March 27 for our next #DiversityThroughLiteracy event! This year’s theme, “A Love Letter to NYC Immigrants & Working Families,” comes alive through guest author and @canticosworld founder Susie Jaramillo (@sujaramillo ) and her beautifully illustrated book "De Colores." Families with children birth–5 will enjoy the read-aloud, engaging literacy activities, and resources to keep the love of reading going all year long. Every family will receive a signed copy of the book to take home.
