I'm proud of how far I've come in 17 yrs.
I came to San Francisco in 2005 in hopes of directing. I took assistant directing jobs in college, taking furious notes as I watched my elders direct. I respected that they didn't always have the answers but sometimes they knew exactly what to do to make a moment pop onstage. I didn't know how they did it.
Then I got distracted in mime/clown school, followed by years of collaborations. In 2025 I finally came back around to directing, mostly solo shows. And lo, I knew what I was doing!

All those years of experience and paying attention really helped me see the bigger picture.
It was a joy to co-direct a giant cast of clowns this week with Jeff Raz @jeffraz18 at Club Fugazi!
I, like my mentors, don't have all the answers, but sometimes I know just the thing to make a moment pop and it's so satisfying. I hope there's more to come!
