Posthuman Press is proud to present a Therolinguistics Workshop co-organised by B. (Posthuman Press), Maria Paula del Portillo-Cure (@revistamicelio ), Oscar Salguero (@interspecieslibrary ) and Audax M. Gawler (@transecologyclub ).
Drawing on the work of Ursula K. Le Guin, therolinguistics is a speculative artistic practice that attempts to translate nonhuman language, perception, movement and traces, etc. If you've ever wondered what nonhuman literature might look like, or are wanting to discover new methods to incorporate into your own art that considers other-than-human kin and their ontologies and perspectives, or have simply grown tired of the same anthropocentric narratives we're constantly being fed, then this workshop is for you.
The session will take place online on Saturday 2nd of May, 2026 @ 4pm CEST (Poland) / 10am EDT (New York) / 9am COT (Colombia), 11am BRT (Brazil). The workshop will take place in English, though, two of us can give extra nuance in Spanish to those joining from e.g. Latin America if something isn't quite clear.
Standard tickets are $20AUD or $5AUD for those located in the global south or who are First Nations. We've tried to keep prices as cheaply as possible to provide access to this workshop for those interested in submitting to our Therolinguistics call-out that ends on June 30, but a few sponsorships are also available should you need it. Please contact us if that is the case.
Tickets are available from Humanitix at link in bio: /therolinguistics-workshop
Special thanks to @audax__audax and @pribertucci_o_profeta_queer for the background artwork, and @b.leideritz for the design.

Our book launch for 'Divergences' is this Wednesday, 15th of April @hareshyenas from 7pm-8:30. Come on down as we introduce you to the book along with some live readings.
There will also be free vegan sweets (with gluten-free options) catered by @littlesweet.tings , along with a video the artist @michielteeuw has created as an adaptation of their text 'Skim, Skier, Stim', which shows co-stimming with the ocean.
'Divergences' is a first of its kind: a literary collection of posthuman neurodivergent art and writing. But what makes it extra special is the punkish vein of neurodissidence throughout that refuses assimilation to a neuronormative world.
Here's what Erin Manning wrote about it in their blurb:
"'Divergences' diverges: it offers openings onto neurodiversity that are dissonant, multiple. Expressive of their difference, of the difference itself of neurodiversity, it topples expectations, moving the reader in unexpected directions. This is neurodissidence. It unconforms. Read this beautiful collection. You will be changed!"
Hope to see you at the launch. ✌️

Our second book, 'Divergences: An Anthology of Neurodissident Worlds' is now available for preorder. Pub date is 10th of April. There will also be a second printing in Europe on the 21st of May for our EU audience. Get your copy today at the link in bio.
'Divergences' does not approach neurodivergence as diagnosis or identity, but instead becomes a lens through which the norm itself turns strange—an alternate perceptual logic capable of reshaping how we think about intimacy, infrastructure, technology, and care.
Across essays, poems, stories, memoir, and hybrid texts, 'Divergences' asks what happens when perception runs on different circuitry: when language fractures into vibration and pulse, when politeness and coherence reveal themselves as imposed postures rather than neutral baselines. This collection resists sentimental narratives of difference. There is no recovery arc here. Nervous systems appear instead as sites of conflict and capacity—hyper-attentive, analytical, erotically charged, exhausted, lucid.
Form carries the argument. Some pieces pulse in fragments and diaristic rupture; others move in tidal repetition, inviting skimming and sensory drift; while theory and confession coexist without hierarchy. The self appears composite—collaged and choral—language broken open to reveal the seams of diagnosis, gender, pain, and survival.
Throughout the human is decentered. Bodies leak into animals, machines, landscapes. Stimming becomes cosmology; overload becomes method. The result is less a statement than a field recording: overlapping frequencies, friction and harmony in equal measure. 'Divergences' does not explain neurodissidence from a distance. It inhabits it—rigorous, volatile, and formally alive.

We're excited to announce that we've been granted the rights to Ursula Le Guin's seminal short story 'The Author of the Acacia Seeds' for inclusion in our forthcoming Therolinguistics Anthology. We'll be extending the submission deadline until March 31st to give you more time. Don't miss out on the chance to have your writing or art included in this special issue.
A quick note on therolinguistics: it is not role-playing as another species. It is not the anthropomorphisation of another animal or living organism. Submissions that tend to use narration or that apply a moral from an animal's perspective are often the weakest as they sound like a human is speaking for other animals. Instead, try to find ways to avoid this. Approach it indirectly, experiment with language, perhaps even use pictoral non-verbal cues for action, and always, always ground the piece in ethological knowledge instead of assumption. The more successful submissions are those that play with our suspension of disbelief and that break down language and approximate, in its impossibility, the perspective of another species.
To help you out further to understand more what therolinguistics is, we'll be organising a free therolinguistics workshop next month that anyone can attend. There's also the wonderful story 'Zhkala Blobos' by Aleksandra Przybysz that you can read in our first book 'Entanglements' that offers a beautiful example of therolinguistics done right. More on that soon.

Excited to announce that our 1st publication is now available for purchase. There is also a $10 off bundle deal if you also preorder 'Divergences'. See link in bio to secure your copy.
'Entanglements' is a groundbreaking anthology that plunges subjectivity beyond the human realm. Roses, fungi, shit, algorithms, jays and other weird beings people this experimental biopoetic, where a polyphony of new voices (human and more-than) explore our oldest ethical inquiry—the question on how to live—in an estranged present.
A pornodelirium where an urban multiplicity, a deceased eros, materialises into a suffocating, technological macro-organism; a golden creature cracks the self, parallel to the mass production of animals; a multispecied nurse narrates her relationship with ravens, jays and an orphaned kestrel in a Wild Animal Rescue Station; a drain technician is contaminated by fatbergs; extinction is conceived as a kinky burial party in an erotic elegy; while a love algorithm’s technical malfunctions represents an existential threat to users. From erotic poetic prose to programming, the multimodal tales and illustrations in this volume invite the reader to dive into posthuman co-existence.
