This is Patty Ratermann, CEO and Co-Founder of Postfire. A New Orleans native and our resident spreadsheet master, Patty brings clarity, precision, and heart to everything we build. We may be a small team, but we’re committed to making a big impact and Patty’s leadership and unwavering commitment to survivors makes that possible. Welcome to Postfire

This is iO Wright! The CPO and co-founder of Postfire. Lovingly nicknamed “the fire guy,” when he began sharing fact-checked information on Instagram as fires ripped through Los Angeles, destroying his home and thousands of others. What started as a way to help people navigate the chaos quickly grew into a trusted source of information for survivors across the city. Since then, he has remained a vigilant advocate for fire survivors – continuing to provide guidance, resources, and a steady voice during recovery through his work at PostFire. And he’s just getting started. Welcome to Postfire.

From late summer through the holidays, our team went all in — distributing more than 900 air purifiers and working closely with experts to turn complex research into actionable guidance for survivors. We’re deeply grateful for your continued support. Link in bio to donate and help sustain this work.

Here are some of the things we did between April and June! As a small, unfunded nonprofit, we all wear many hats to get survivors what they need. If you’ve ever donated to organization like ours, know that every single dollar goes a very long way.

We’re a small team but our intention remains the same since day one. Deliver survivors the best information possible in the most palpable and accessible way.

A few messages we’ve received along the way. We believe people deserve the best in their worst moments, and we’re committed to seeing you through this experience, till all our neighbors are back home. We’re honored to do this work.

It’s been a helluva year building PostFire. Last January, we lost our home and did the only thing we knew how to do – mobilize for our city and our neighbors. We worked to ensure no one was left behind and that everyone had access to reliable information to help lighten the weight of recovery. We haven’t shared much of what we’ve done so far, but we’re excited to share some of it over the next few weeks. Your neighbors, Patty, iO, and the entire PostFire team

I don’t often say I’m proud of myself, but what we’ve made is a big deal. The last year was absolutely brutal, but we stepped up and made something that will help a lot of people. And as of today, real humans are in it. Sign up to be in the next round of users at PostFire.org. Shout out to every single person who worked on it - there are so many of you. 💗
