“The show must go on”
It’s officially been a year since production and losing my fight against the floor (do not recommend) and chipping my collarbone but am finally fully healed and back to regaining my strength
Wanted to do this post to commemorate the milestone of going from no dance experience to becoming the main character for a dance production to being injured and not able to dance all within one year (roller really coasting)
Am extremely grateful for the love and support my family and
@gbyeally gave by calming me down, reassuring me and filling me with the courage to carry on with the second show. Thank you for setting my decision in stone to ensure that the show goes on and being in the audience seats to see it through with me
To my fellow DF dancers, thank you for showering me with patience and support through reworking so many parts of the show so that we could go forward ensuring that I got hurt no further.
Thank you
@marranjtrav for the endless guidance and growth ever since entering DF, extremely thankful for the patience during the preparation and the immense consideration when problem solving during the reworks
Big shoutout to
@rnghn_ for helping me through the recovery phase, EVER SINCE DAY ZERO of injury, if you ever need a physiotherapist, do yourself a solid and link up with him
Finally, I want this post to serve as a reminder that despite my short comings through love, dedication and honestly pure tenacity, the show will go on. This was one of the few times that I was able to be a part of something bigger than myself and be lucky enough to see it through despite the circumstance.
As cheesy as it sounds, being a guardsman really helped mentally on that day, I wanted to set the example of never giving up and being always ready to put my best foot forward
Am truly grateful for this experience, especially the injury, it made the milestone all the more fruitful and meaningful. To many more life milestones, just less the injuries🫠
