✨ Exhibition at the Art Museum in Bélem (MABE), pitching session at IDFA Amsterdam, our project Amasonic is off to a fantastic start! ✨
“Amasonic” is an XR experience where the user can experience different (non)human perspectives on the Amazon River gathered by local communities and scientists, while exploring the installation, users compose a sonification, translating their interaction and co-existence with the river echoing the multitude of life connected to the Amazon River.
Last week our own Corine Meijers and Marcel van Brakel (
@polymorf.nl ) travelled to Brazil and set up the Amasonic presence in the VAZIOsobreTERRA exhibition.
VAZIOsobreTERRA proposes a sensitive and political dialogue around the impacts of large-scale mining on local, national, and global levels, with a particular attention to the territories and bodies of the Global South. It’s a collaborative project presented by Initiatives of Change USA, Collective WEBS, Instituto Casa Constelar Ancestral Janeraka, MABE (Museu de Arte de Belém), and ART AFRICA, in partnership with a wide network of institutions, collectives, communities, and initiatives that believe in art and culture as tools for transformation and regeneration.

We are so very excited and thankful for this opportunity. And very curious what the next step - the presentation during IDFA
@idfafestival - will bring.
