✨ Exhibition at the Art Museum in Bélem (MABE), pitching session at IDFA Amsterdam, our project Amasonic is off to a fantastic start! ✨ “Amasonic” is an XR experience where the user can experience different (non)human perspectives on the Amazon River gathered by local communities and scientists, while exploring the installation, users compose a sonification, translating their interaction and co-existence with the river echoing the multitude of life connected to the Amazon River. Last week our own Corine Meijers and Marcel van Brakel (@polymorf.nl ) travelled to Brazil and set up the Amasonic presence in the VAZIOsobreTERRA exhibition. VAZIOsobreTERRA proposes a sensitive and political dialogue around the impacts of large-scale mining on local, national, and global levels, with a particular attention to the territories and bodies of the Global South. It’s a collaborative project presented by Initiatives of Change USA, Collective WEBS, Instituto Casa Constelar Ancestral Janeraka, MABE (Museu de Arte de Belém), and ART AFRICA, in partnership with a wide network of institutions, collectives, communities, and initiatives that believe in art and culture as tools for transformation and regeneration. 📆 10 November 2025 - 9 February 2026 📍MABE (Museu de Arte de Belém) @mabepaoficial We are so very excited and thankful for this opportunity. And very curious what the next step - the presentation during IDFA @idfafestival - will bring. Camille & Ulysse screens as part of the 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 program on Wednesday, March 19. Filmmaker @dianatoucedo and Symbiosis director @vbrakel will come together after the screening, for a conversation on storytelling and translating Donna Haraway’s writing into their multi-species scenarios for today’s world. 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲 & 𝗨𝗹𝘆𝘀𝘀𝗲 In 𝘊𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘦 & 𝘜𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘴𝘦, filmmaker @dianatoucedo brings to life the intertwined tales of two symbiogenic communities. Camille adopts butterfly traits to help her study the endangered North American monarch butterfly, while on the coast of Naples, Ulysse explores ways of living together with extinct octopuses, in preparation for their unlikely return. A speculative journey through a damaged planet, where humans and non-humans learn to live in new, transformative ways.

The word is out! Future Botanica will be at @sxsw in March! With this international premiere of Future Botanica, POLYMORF presents a AR experience where users can design future nature within speculative ecosystems, by using an app with generative AI systems the user can explore their relationship with nature. Future Botanica connects digital nature to various physical locations and forms of nature. It serves as a growing database of new life forms, future speculations, and stories about nature created with and by people. In Future Botanical, the user becomes a planter, designing an ecosystem with non-existent digital plants and organisms and planting them in the existing physical nature. This act plants ideas, concepts, and stories about how we perceive future nature. Using AR and AI, the current state of nature blends with designs, ideas, stories, and speculations about the future state of the location. As a user/planter, you can play and learn how ecosystems work, experiencing and envisioning the future. Future Botanica is a Polymorf and Studio Biarritz production, Designed by Polymorf and Studio Bleu. Commissioned by: MU Hybrid Art House (@mu_hybrid_art_house ). Supported by: The Creative Industries Fund Digital Culture and Fentener van Vlissingen Fund and the Film Fund DocLab Interactive Grant together with IDFA DocLab (@idfadoclab ). And special partner Tripo AI.
