The work is the work is the work is the work. Including the work of many lovely friends and collaborators of course. NB: Stan & Ollie (Assistant Choreographer to Toby Sedgwick)

Fond memories of the friends and fashion I met movement choreographing the extraordinary @elliebamber_ on “Moss & Freud.” From making Ellie catwalk in Selfridges for Kate Moss-like confidence, a magical pre-opening hours visit to the National Gallery and practicing swing dancing with Sir Derek Jacobi in a wardrobe - my time with the cast was divine. I have so many tales for my memoirs when I’m an old ham. Walking like a supermodel is extremely complicated and deliciously fun. The fashion sequences are my favourite part of this film, made all the more exquisite by the incomparable @jamesbrownstyle . He taught me so much about clothes and not playing by the rules and kept us entertained and inspired at all times. Special mention to @mumabamba who protected us as we catwalked and champagned through the city. And of course incredible Kate Moss who is a powerhouse and smells so good, I think about it most days. #movementchoreographer #mossandfreud

“Do our dance!” An aggressive, challenging and thrilling time choreographing on @bbciplayer @elevenfilmltd #LordOfTheFlies. Here’s a clip I feel very proud of. Wrangling some 30 boys, then aged between 5 and 12, into killing machines in the discipline of a dance space was hectic but look what we made. I loved seeing these kids take to movement and explore communal storytelling through the body. I loved the work. Huge respect to director Marc Munden, who I’ve long admired, children’s acting coach Tommy and the chaperones for putting in the full nine yards. And of course wonderful Jack Thorne for always writing movement into his scripts so amazingly. It’s an extraordinary piece of work - vital and beautifully made. I urge you to watch. Kill the pig etc etc …

I loved wuthering with this glorious gang; with Margot and Jacob we explored the space between, history and physical power play. Martin Clunes and I got drunk (only acted, of course), @officialshazadlatif and I worked with fashion and gentility, the child cast created bonds and games and with @alisonjoliver , it was character development, submission and animal work. Sometimes movement isn’t out loud; it’s integrated but perceptible… and everso fun. 🐕 #movementchoreographer

It’s all a process. Grief, dancing and making movies - hours spent in empty rooms working it all out. Lots of lovely things cooking, lots of brain whirring, lots of “it’s a lot” but lots of space to process the process. Always move ❤️

From the skanky loos to the nightclubs, it was a no brainer to work as Choreographer on “What it Feels Like for a Girl” for @bbciplayer . A pleasure to go on the physical transformation journeys with the cast, namely @ellisfrancishoward and @laquarn who danced, heeled and felt themselves all the way through production. I feel honoured to have been part of their performances. Kudos too to Laquarn and Hannah for being so caring and supportive of each other - stepping in to help stage scenes they weren’t in, wanting to respectfully observe rehearsals and then riotously applaud through rehearsals - your friendship and investment was just the best. With immense love for the Fantasy Bog dancers for bringing joy and clarity - @irams4 @jamesdavieswilliams @ianoswald80 @chasevollenweider @mylesnewland @kamildaffe @stan_west and @max_westwell and massive appreciation to my associate @myronavb for keeping the clubs ALIVE. #movement #choreographer #creditthechoreo

Did you know that choreographers and movement directors are among the last creative group to have Union representation? Here’s our current Chair @pollyannabennett talking about the CMDN and its plans @equityuk moving forward! #choreographer #movementdirector #wearehere

Standing still is the new moving. Big up to the dancers, movers and supporting artists that worked with me to create these amazing frozen moments for Paul Giametti, Patsy Ferran, Issa Rae and @emmalouisecorrin to move around in for the new season of #BlackMirror. I loved rehearsing with this gang and it was amazing to be supported by a production to do what needed to be done so these moments were full bodied, rehearsed and appreciated - so thank you @netflixuk , @lou_lou_land and the AD teams. Buzzed to have been invited to choreograph for @sophieellisbextor on her new single “Freedom of the Night.” Assisted by the superb @itsamythornton we had a wild time with these amazing kids (who are more talented than everyone on the planet) and a treat to be in the extraordinary Rivoli Ballroom - where director @darlingangel6 and I would like to live. I loved being part of this. Enjoy! #sophieellisbextor #freedomofthenight #choreographer

A tale of Kaos. A sweet joy to work on Charlie Covell’s amazing series. I first heard about it some 4 or 5 years ago and thought “I’d like to be part of that” and then the time finally came! I got to do loads of different stuff as Choreographer and Movement Coach on this from dead ball-boys to dancing Gods; here are a few fleeting moments: 1) The ultimate gang of dancers and performers to trial ideas for Dionysus’s Nightclub Scene in Episode 1. This room was full of energy, laughter and talent; I love bringing lots of people together to create and have a bop. One of my most favourite times. 2) We welcomed @nabhaanr into the rehearsal room who played Dionysus. We’ve worked together twice before so always a treat to play with him and throw him in the air. 3) I asked the concept dancers to dress up - you know for vibes - as I filmed work for Georgi the director and producers… and they didn’t hold back. Which is largely why I love each and every one of them. What you can’t see here is my long-suffering assistant Myron battling with a confetti canon. Which is largely why I love him. 3) Minotaur bootcamp with @ifadyelsayed in some strange room in Spain. He is anything but a scary Minotaur man. A joy to work with him. 4) Workshopping the human sacrifice ritual in North London, as you do. 5) Director @georgiporgie and writer/executive/mastermind Charlie showing me how it’s done. 6) The Fates had a disco dance that sadly didn’t make it through the edit but I loved disco dancing with @sambuttery_ , @che.co.uk and @eddieizzard so much. Rehearsals and chats with them were one of my season highlights. 7) I mean look at @sambuttery_ 🥰 8) Poseidon and Polly have dinner. 9) Fady having escaped the labyrinth. 10) With the flying backwards and forwards to Spain from London my suitcase went awol 3 times. Here is one of our joyous reunions. Love you easyJet hun. Thanks @netflixuk and Sister Pictures. We had a blast. Vero.
