One of my resolutions/intentions for 2023 was to do *something* with my photography. And so I did. These are the four photos that were in a couple of art shows this past Fall, and one of them even sold (the roses)! Will definitely be continuing to seek out more calls for art, as well more folks from the arts and photography communities. ❤️📷❤️ . Photo 1: "Falling Village" as part of @thespencertownacademy 's Homes, Hamlets & Villages Juried Art Show. The photo is of one of my new favorite places to photograph, the Furgary in Hudson . Photo 2: "Colgate Lake of Flowers" as part of @windhamartsalliance @main_street_community_center and @create.council Revisiting Our Landmarks show. The photo is a double exposure photo of one of the places I visited a lot while growing up, Colgate Lake. . Photo 3: "Roses Seeking Focus", as part of the Member Show of the @athensculturalcenter The photo is taken on an expired film roll. . Photo 4: Nature Reclaimed, as part of the 32BJ Union Arts Show entitled Rebirth. The photo is of an abandoned building in the town of Athens, and nature has clearly reclaimed its spot.

The fog here made everything seem otherworldly at the Botanical Gardens. The fog is not edited in this photo. It was cool and freaky at the same time. Photo taken on my new Sony RX100 VII camera ♥️📷♥️

The true wildlife stars of Oahu: the chickens and roosters everywhere ♥️🐓♥️ Also, lovin' the detail this camera is able to capture. So sharp! Photo taken on my new Sony RX100 VII ♥️📷♥️

The most important wildlife in Oahu last week: feral chickens and roosters and cats. The cats and chickens here just, well, hung out. They weren't bugging each other at all, and just doing their own thing. ♥️🐓🐈♥️ Photo taken on my new Sony RX100 VII camera ♥️📷♥️

Since I'm in the midst of travel planning, here's a throwback photo to the summer of 2024, when we went to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. I took this photo on my Canon R7, and I love that I can take black-and-white and sepia-type photos within the camera. ♥️📷♥️

Another film photo, this time from one of my favorite places when we go Upstate. Love walking through this place in the Catskills. Photo taken on my Canon Rebel 2000 film camera, using Lomography's LomoChrome Color '92 film, and developed and scanned by the fine folks at @photodom.nyc ♥️📷♥️

Haven't posted a film photo in a while, so here's one from this past autumn right outside The Strand. I like taking pictures of people browsing these book carts. I also like how th silver/white poles are framing the gentleman. Photo taken on my Canon Rebel 2000 film camera, using Lomography's LomoChrome Color '92 film. Film developed and scanned by the fine folks at @photodom.nyc

A different angle of Notch Lake in the Catskills, this time, a messy reflection. Part of me wishes it was a bit more even, but I kinda like how lopsided it is (the reflected mountain lines). Photo taken back in October on my new Sony RX100 VII camera ♥️📷♥️

Another throwback to this past autumn, this time at Notch Lake, in the Catskills. I was there in October and was shocked at how dry it was. This is the lake I learned how to ice skate on, and loved hiking in the area. Love revisiting this place. Photo taken on my new Sony RX100 VII. ♥️📷🍂♥️
