We returned the flag we took on Polaris Dawn last night, but for those interested, The Explorers Club in NYC is filled with incredible history...the ice axe Sir Edmund Hillary used to conquer Mt. Everest, Napoleon Bonaparte’s original journals (including the Egyptian campaign), the flags flown on the Apollo missions, etc. Exploring the unknown is part of our DNA—its exciting to think about where the flags will go in the years ahead. 🌖🌌. Really loved showing my daughters the flag Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins took to the moon on Apollo 11.
Last night, @rookisaacman and @gillis_sarahe returned @the_explorers_club Flag #218, which accompanied the Polaris Dawn crew to orbit. It was exposed to the vacuum of space during the mission’s spacewalk and traveled farther from Earth than any crewed mission since humanity last went to the Moon!

For those in to the flying thing....we got stacked slot rolls in F-5E, F-5F, MiG-29 & AlphaJets. You can spot the sweet F-5 avionics. We flew some great people, did a Montana State football flyover and getting ready for a project to honor our nation’s heroes 🇺🇸
A lot of flying this weekend with some amazing people as we brought the first two F-5s into the action. Cool shot w/ MiG-29, F-5E and two Alpha Jets in formation—pretty sure that is a first. Also, my nephews got some training in and are closing in on their private pilot licenses. More pics and videos to come.

One year ago today we landed at KSC to begin quarantine. My @polarisprogram crew, along with @haleykesparza & others, spent ~3 weeks waiting for a weather window to launch. I was grateful every day in quarantine with such amazing people, every minute of the mission..and the unexpectedly wild year since.
