Me and my sweets taking a little walk by the river at Charyn Canyon, Kazakhstan. Seeing how well Prores RAW shot on the iPhone 17 Pro Max holds up when zoomed in, and it looks great! At 100mm (4x lens), it’s unbelievable that it’s coming from a phone, technically a camera which fits flat in the pocket. It does eat up some drive space but the pixel clarity is pleasant. By the time you read this, the Blackmagic Camera app now supports Open Gate RAW with stabilization. #shotoniphone #iphone17promax

A spectacular window view of the Pamir and Alay mountains shot on the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Flying above Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, the airplane makes its way to Almaty, Kazakhstan. Shot mostly with the iPhone’s 8x Fusion Telephoto lens in Apple Log 2. #shotoniPhone #iphone17promax

Color grading for Malaysia Airlines “Time for Elevating Journeys”. Been very blessed to have @pinangfilms getting me ‘on-board’ for this lovely series. With our passion for travel and hospitality aligned, I’m glad to have collaborated to create a look which inspires a delightful journey while elevating the colors of our national airline.

Another grade with @monologue.io for the FTMD x Timerberland “All the Dirty Work” campaign. This time we explored a ‘dirty’ approach inspired by a 16mm look to reflect the context of construction and its ‘raw’ beauty. #colorgrading #davinciresolve

Sometimes the best way to get an understanding of the intended color grade is to be present with the evolution of the director’s vision. Being on location as a colorist during recce has led to a close collaboration — having discussions while seeing the available textures upfront, having a mutual preference of choice of lenses, camera sensor and lighting direction. We were practically choosing our brushes, strokes and canvas. We even decided that it’d be finished on 5:3 aspect ratio. On shoot day, comes a better understanding of creative intent rather than doing too many things without knowing the destination. Am very glad to bounce these valuable thoughts with @monologue.io and @timchan_ . Thank you for the opportunity to grade this piece! 🎨✨ Direction : @monologue.io Producer : @a99feeling DP : @timchan__ 1st AC : @chaewoon27 2nd AC : @cliffordtan_ VTR : @_safwans Gaffer : @kwangsing.c / @lumos_nox.my Grip : @yoongchu @_xwksx_ @san0116 @victric_ Art Depart / Set Design : @carmensee @ju.xtapose Online / Colorist : 🙏🏽 Sound Design: @c.h.q.y Recording Engineer : @jieyingpeh_ Mixing Engineer : @dannyjosiah Make Up: @fififi_fiona_____ @haloroomm @sinsinlaw1011 Shot on the Sony Venice with Zeiss Super Speeds MKIII (@2117_rentals ) #colorgrading #colorgrade #davinciresolve

Truly blessed to have to seen a glimpse of Yunnan, China. We managed to visit Kunming, Lijiang, Dali, and Shangri-La. Filmed on the #iphone16promax with only an ND filter. I’m still pretty amazed at how liberating it is to film with a camera which properly fits a pocket during trips. Proper Apple LOG footage. And the 5x zoom is epic. If you’re wondering about my workflow with iPhone captured footage, I’ll share it here! - Filmed with the Blackmagic Camera app in Apple LOG recorded in Apple Prores 422 HQ - Edited and graded in Davinci Resolve - Clips are then compressed Davinci Resolve for quality yet space saving archiving— Quicktime H.265 100mbps Main 4:2:2 10. Memories are priceless! #shotoniphone #yunnan #china

I was 3,100m above sea level while watching this performance. It showcases the traditions of the Naxi, Yi, and Bai communities to life through music, dance, and ritual. The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain as the backdrop just looked too epic! No surprise why it was a super performance — it was directed by Zhang Yimou. Shot with the iPhone 16 Pro Max which fits my pocket and gave me all the lenses I needed (0.5x 13mm, 1x 24mm, 2x 48mm, 5x 120mm) — The real pocket cinema camera. #shotoniphone #iPhone16ProMax #ImpressionOfLijiang #lijiang #YunnanProvince #ChinaTravel #TravelReels
