In case you missed it: THIRST is an award-winning short film about women’s pursuit of sexual equality. For too long, women have been denied the right to access and enjoy their own sexual freedom. Our film follows a woman on a journey of self-exploration as she seeks what previously felt out of reach: pleasure. The film itself follows the rhythm of the sensation of pleasure and the building of a climax, but designed to outsmart the discriminatory social media algorithms that censor posts about women’s sexual health. Visit podher.org/thirst (LINK IN BIO) to learn more about why pleasure matters and sign our Change.org petition aimed at removing gender bias from social media algorithms. @klick.health 💙

Sheryl Lee Ralph famous for her breakout role in the original Broadway production of ‘Dreamgirls’ and her ongoing portrayal of the no-nonsense kindergarten teacher on the sitcom ‘Abbott Elementary’ champions another kind of teaching through her decades-long work as an activist, particularly raising awareness about HIV/AIDS. Recently, in collaboration with the DIVA Foundation, the nonprofit she founded in 1990, Ralph executive-produced documentary special ‘Living Proof’ which highlights the experiences of Black women living with HIV in the South. Leading by example, Sheryl Lee Ralph is honored among TIME’s 16 Women of the Year. #PodHer

Actress Sheryl Lee Ralph has a sign in her bedroom that reads, “Underestimate me, that will be interesting.” Ralph noted that it took her 40 years as an actress to achieve the public success she found as Barbara Howard on the hit TV show ‘Abbott Elementary.’ Now an Emmy winner, Critics Choice winner, recipient of the Order of Jamaica, and one of @time ’s Women of the Year, she says she doesn’t compare herself to others. It’s that kind of self-motivation that helped her find success as a Black actress and advocate for herself in a Hollywood industry where she was often told there wasn’t room for women like her. Artist @LaetitiaKy creates fascinating sculptures of different animals, objects and people using the hair on her head. In her TED Talk, she shares what inspired her hair-sculpted art and explains how a creative pastime grew into a powerful way to confront real issues, advocate for change and champion self-acceptance. “When I embraced the capacity I have to share my stories and the ones of others, I found the strength to advocate for what I believe in through my hair,” she says. #PodHer
