On this episode of @pod.intotheunknown What happens when you mix centuries-old bagpipes with viral social media moments, rockstar energy, and a relentless passion for music? You get @piper.ally who’s revolutionizing music! Ally was kind enough to sit down with me THE NIGHT BEFORE SHE LEFT FOR TOUR! 🥹 Ally spills the tea on her journey from competitive bagpiping to blowing up on TikTok and turning her online success into a full-blown music career. From playing Game of Thrones covers to rocking stadiums, she shares how she took the ultimate leap of faith, ditched her retail job, and made music her full-time gig. But it wasn’t all luck—Ally talks about the insane grind behind the scenes, overcoming imposter syndrome, and why bagpipe camp was way more intense than you’d expect. Whether you’re a music lover, an aspiring creator, or just here for the wild ride, this episode is packed with inspiration, unexpected twists, and a reminder that sometimes, your biggest break comes from taking a risk. Buckle up—this one’s a blast! Side Note! I’m going to Ally’s concert 3/9 Live in Milwaukee, WI! Go get your tickets!! Thanks again Ally!!! #podcast #allythepiper #bagpipes #trusttheprocess #swickmedia #music #podcasting #podcaster

That time I had the @packers All-Time Leading Rusher on @pod.intotheunknown 🔥 @ahmangreen30 you already know I had to base the episode cover off the first comic book that featured Batman! On March 30, 1939, Detective Comics No. 27 appears on the nation’s newsstands, introducing the world to a new superhero, the Batman. Dated May 1939, the comic book featured the caped crusader on its cover, swooping through the air on a rope, while holding a bad guy in a headlock. I know no one asked but the barcode has some fun Easter eggs… IYKYK 🏈 #packers #gopackgo #batman #ahmangreen #packersnation @packershof

On this episode of Into The Unknown I sit down with Fred Garlington for a conversation about leadership, grief, mental health, entrepreneurship, and what it really means to build a life aligned with who you are. From navigating career pivots and helping founders scale strategically to opening up about the sudden loss of his father, Fred shares the experiences that reshaped both his personal life and professional philosophy. Together, we unpack the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people, learning to ask for help, and understanding that true leadership often starts with vulnerability. Fred also dives into the growing world of fractional leadership, the hidden cost of burnout, and why so many high performers struggle to separate their identity from their work. This episode is a powerful reminder that success is not just about building businesses, it’s about building a meaningful life outside of them too. Whether you're an entrepreneur, leader, creative, or someone navigating uncertainty, this conversation will leave you rethinking growth, resilience, and the courage it takes to step into the unknown. I’m incredibly grateful to every guest who has shared their story, every listener who has followed along, and everyone who has supported this show along the way. As a historian, I’ve always believed our personal histories shape who we are and where we’re going. This podcast has become a space to explore those stories, learn from them, and remind us that every journey has value. Thank you for being part of the first 150 episodes. Here’s to more conversations, more stories, and more steps into the unknown.

On this episode of @pod.intotheunknown What if the place you least expected could become the foundation for your strongest relationships and biggest life decisions? I sit down with my friend and teammate @eazy_eegz414 to explore how rugby became more than just a sport it became a gateway to community, belonging, and personal growth. From being randomly recruited in college to building lifelong friendships across cities, Michael shares how the rugby world creates an instant connection no matter where life takes you. But this conversation goes far beyond the pitch. Michael opens up about stepping away from college to support his family, navigating career uncertainty, and ultimately finding his path in education. Now preparing for a major life transition, he reflects on what it means to embrace the unknown, trust your decisions, and start fresh even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed. This episode is a reminder that sometimes the most meaningful growth comes from simply saying yes and figuring it out along the way.

On this episode of @pod.intotheunknown What happens when you chase a dream that wasn’t built for you and refuse to let it go anyway? I sit down with my friend Jackson He @actionjacksonhe whose journey from China to college football is anything but ordinary. From stepping onto the field with no experience to navigating cultural expectations, isolation, and moments where quitting felt inevitable, Jackson opens up about the reality behind the grind. But it’s the moment he almost walked away and what happened next that defines his story. This conversation goes far beyond football, revealing what it really takes to keep going when no one sees the work, the belief required to stay in the game, and the perspective that can change everything when your moment finally arrives. Jackson and I first got connected when I was the Historian and Curator at the @cfbhall @jimmie_football @sundevilfbl
