🏆 Atlanta showed up big for sports careers!
On Wednesday, aspiring professionals gathered at the College Football Hall of Fame for the Atlanta Sports & Entertainment Career Fair — bringing together one of the most diverse collections of sports and entertainment employers in the Southeast.
With 200+ open roles across the Atlanta market, attendees had the opportunity to connect with teams, leagues, venues, and industry leaders who help power one of the busiest sports cities in the country.
🎤 A behind-the-scenes look at careers in sports.
Panelists included:
🎙️ Yomand Brown — VP, Marketing & Sales
🎙️ Wayne Phipps — VP, People & Culture
🎙️ Denis Crawford, PhD — Historian & Exhibit Designer
🎙️ Paige Eskens — Director, Marketing
🎙️ Arlen McCray-Nibbs — Sr. Manager, Fan Experience
🎙️ Maxwell Cusick — Sr. Group Sales Executive
💡 Key insights from the panel:
👉 Take the time to learn a company’s core values. In an interview, hiring managers will see you doing the research, which will reinforce your outward interest and passion for the role.
👉 Ask yourself - “What am I willing to give up to get where I want to be?” What happens after you get the job? That’s when the work begins. Be willing to put in the work before you take the job.
👉 Unpreparedness shows. In today’s AI era, those who take time to learn, adapt, and stay curious will always stand out from those who expect opportunities to wait for them.
